TBull,
I am not surprised that a "Panel," has decided you don't need these strong medications, for your pain. I wish these people, who don't have any idea what pain is, would get a little, themselves, so they know what we all are suffering. But, those wishes don't come true and I really don't want to wish bad on anyone. However, I am having the same challenge, losing two primary doctors, because they tried to help me. My pain will never go away, just get worse, as I age. It is already affecting my lower half of my body, I can't walk, stand, sit, sleep, (too much pressure from my mattress on my body) or anything, I used to do. I am trying to wean myself off the morphine, regardless of the scripts the last two doctors, (one didn't even see me) and the jerk that I saw, who said after he weans me off, (after putting me back on it), I am to take over the counter pain meds. We all know how that will work.

This is why I am telling everyone I know and in my posts/replies, about my petition (please see post #1322 for the link).

It won't help your suffering, right now, but if I get enough people to sign it, it will go out to all government officials and the DEA, which is the reason why we are going through what you are, with not getting doctors. It's not right that we are compared to drug addicts, for we aren't high on our medications, it goes straight to helping our suffering.

Please, sign the petition and send the link, (copy/paste) to your state's officials and to everyone you know, who is also suffering. You are welcome to send it to as many as you can, for if we get the signatures of many sufferers like you and myself, we will win this battle and get our doctors back and our medications. I am doing the same, posting it all over the different Chronic Pain websites and sending it to people I know. We need one voice, to make these non-sufferers away what our lives are like and how we are suffering on a daily basis, with no hopes of cures.

I do wish you all the best and if I find someone, in my searches on the Internet, I will let you know, so you can make an appointment with them.

May God Bless you and everyone on this site...
Always!

If you were to die and it could be proven by medical evidence that the dr didn't exercise sound professional judgement, it would be your family members that could sue. So you saying you wouldn't sue if the meds killed you is a waste of time.

BL,
I am assuming you are replying to my post where I stated that I made a letter, saying I would hold harmless the doctor, if I should stop breathing and die, right? What I did was to relieve my doctor's worries that if I stopped breathing, it was because I decided to continue with my medications, that were giving me the only relief I had. So, I could continue to care for myself, my ex-husband who is blind and destitute, and do things around my house, shop and do laundry. Just so she wouldn't worry and continue with my prescription. But, that was only for the morphine. It was only for her. Now, if these two stupid doctors, the jerk and the head of the clinic, should mess me up, so that I die, then I will give my family permission, to go after them. After all, neither of them examined me, they put me back on the morphine, which I was already off of, and took me suddenly off my buprenorphine. Now, the jerk doctor wants me to go on to over the counter pain pills, after he weans me off of the morphine, (again)! I am having difficulties, since being back on it. They should have sent me to a doctor, who is licensed to give me the buprenorphine, continuing helping my pain and keeping me off the morphine. I will not go back to them, I am taking myself off the morphine, as best as I can, so another doctor will see me, not show me the door. I did find three doctors, on the Internet, who are in my city, who does continue with the buprenorphine. The only challenge is, are they still taking Chronic Pain Patients? I've been hearing most of the doctors, in town, are not seeing people like us, anymore. It is against our humane rights not to get care. I found articles where it is written in the laws. I am going to publish it, in length, on this site so we all can see it and use it, if possible. Thank you, for your reply, I do appreciate hearing from you and all the others. Please take care, I have you all in my thoughts...
Always

That is not always the case, (in reference to Ultram (tramadol)), and not all medications requiring a prescription are controlled. Also, Ultram (tramadol), is NOT considered a controlled substance in some states, at all. Don't get me wrong, many states have been adding Ultram (tramadol) to their controlled substance list for many years, however there are several states that have NOT included Ultram (tramadol) on their controlled substance list, and it can be obtained fairly easy through a primary care physician. It can also be called in or faxed in to the pharmacy without a "hard copy" or the use of the prescribing physician's DEA number.

Jimmy,
I am so sorry you are suffering so much. I am almost the same, because of the doctors, quitting, not retiring, but just disappearing for fear of losing their licenses, trying to help chronic pain patients, like you and myself. I don't know what to tell you, maybe if you mention what state you are in, people might know some doctor who will still help you.
I posted a website, a petition, to all government people, including the DEA, to not include us in their "War on Drugs," but to concentrate on the actual abusers, cartels and drug smugglers. Not to go after honest doctors, patients who are suffering immensely and the pharmacies and honest manufacturers. We aren't asking for drugs for recreational purposes, for we don't get "highs" on these medications, (not drugs). They go straight to our pain receptors, fooling them into thinking there is no pain. This makes us human again, so we can care for others, including ourselves and to stay out of bed, to live life again. But, if things don't change, if people just sit back and do nothing, we will all end up suicidal tendencies and possible go through with it. Then, there will end up being more deaths, in the U.S. alone, than there will be cancer and heart patients. We are suffering as much as these patients, yet there is no sympathy, understanding or caring about us. Please, if you are able, go down to one of my posts, I think it is #3552, where I posted that link, for the petition to help us all. They won't allow me to post it, here, because I already posted it, before.
May God Bless You, I have you in my prayers...
Always!

Here is something my one chronic pain patient friend is doing to try to help us all. Please read and see if you can get help this way:

PainShare -
Please share this in the hopes that it may reach a person suffering from painful diseases. We are here to help. We are websites run by pain patients dedicated to the education and awareness of chronic pain issues. People in pain are all around you. Most pain diseases are “hidden Illnesses” and most patients are too proud to express or talk about their pain from fear of being disbelieved by their peers. We are here to listen and share. Show you care. Share this message and the links. How hard can it be? Thank You.

Walk for Healing " patient to patient educational materials, Amazing story of a man who figured out how to get out of the Pain Cycle. -
walkforhealing.weebly.com

USPain Foundation " A complete source of learning, news, support - uspainfoundation.org

Pain Pathways magazine " News and stories of people in pain. Lots of self-help articles, support links.- painpathways.org

Also, I've posted there and also started a petition at:
petitions.moveon.org/sign/stop-the-judgement-of?source=c.em.cp&r_by=10582339

This petition is going out to the DEA and all government officials to help them understand there are 100+million chronic pain patients, who are suffering terribly, but are being thought as drug abusers. They are putting us in the "War on Drugs," when we are not smugglers, sellers, abusers or part of any cartels. We do not get a "high," on our medications. We need them to help us live a more humane life.

Admin:
I am repeating this petition link, I made, because the first time, I posted it, is now buried on another page. Please allow me to keep posting it, as it disappears off the first page.

Thank you and may God Bless all who are suffering so intensely...

Always!

Has suffered from a grade 3 lateral collateral tear in my left ankle. I also have a bone contusion and fluid built up on the bone. It burns from one side of my anklebone to the other. I am in physical therapy, but my doctor won't prescribe me anything. I am in a lot of pain due to the fact that I work on my feet 45 hours a week. Is there anyway that you can help me?

Syrup-ask your doctor to refer you to a pain management specialist or find one on your own. That's just crazy and you have the right to go find what you need.

I was tired of taking pain meds for several different severe back problems. I didn't want to live in la -la land any longer. I was referred to a pain management doctor who implanted a pain pump which automatically releases a minute amount of whatever pain meds your doctor prescribes throughout the day. I've had my pain pump for 9 yrs. and it has given me a new life free from pain. I wish more doctors were aware of these pain pumps and implanted neuro-stimulators to help back pain sufferers. Good Luck!

I have had two back surgeries and one neck surgery. I had to have these surgeries in able to walk and use my arm. I am, however, left with arthritis and sever pain. I am currently on percocets with my primary physician. However, he feels I should go to a pain management doctor to increase the dose I am taking. I have done everything possible to make myself better and I do not take a lot of percocets. These have made me feel a lot better as I have been on them for years due to my medical condition and surgeries. Does anyone know of a good pain management doctor who will prescribe medication?

Looking for Dr to prescribe hydrocodone of some form small amount 12 pills. On vacation and need to squash sinusitis symptoms for 3 days. Tucker Ga.

Hydrocodone isn't usually prescribed for sinus symptoms. If you have a severe sinus infection, which the dr can diagnosis, you may get a few hydrocodone 5 mg. But I doubt a dr that has never seen you before will give it to you. You may also be given a prescription for antibotics and possibley a shot of antibotics. You would also have to have a fever.

I am so sorry your doctor is dropping you. This is the very reason why I made the petition below. Please go down to post number 1330 and click on my petition link, then sign it. It is to stop all this craziness, of doctors not caring for us, dropping us, disappearing, etc. all because of the darn DEA, oppressing honest doctors, patients, who are NOT Drug Addicts and their pharmacies. Please, the more signatures on the petition, the more the government, especially the President, and DEA will stop oppressing us, so we can get the help and medications we desperately need, to live a somewhat normal life. Also, please send the link to all those, you know, who understand the pain, the horrible life, we are all experiencing. The more signatures on the petition, the more we will have our desperate help.
I do hope you find another doctor, for I am having the same challenge. They won't see me, because of my illnesses, I didn't ask to get. I will keep you in my prayers, as I do with everyone here.... Always!
