White Watson 10mg 325 #853 (Page 11)

Updated

I just recieved a new prescription of norco 853 10/325. The last script was yellow and the new ones are white. The pharmacist said that Watson changed the color but the pill is the same, does anyone know if this is accurate?

Not only that, its difficult to keep them down, in that the nausea / upset stomach, they cause is prolific, so for what little and I do mean little pain relief they provide is overshadowed by the nasty little side effects that come with these.

I would like to believe that perhaps it is only a "bad batch" from the manufacturing process, however until I get some indication things are improved I must stay away and choose the best alternative.

Has anyone here received a fill of these in the last week or so of these? Any improvement, or same?

Webhead, sorry I wasn't clear.....NO, Watson/actavis did not correct the pills to make them as effective as before. I'm with you, I don't care about color as long as they work. I sent a message to Watson complaining and I never heard from them. I am contacting their side effect hotline, the FDA, and DEA. This has got to stop! There are wat too many complaints and so far I have only seen 4-5 people or less who say they never had a problem. Julie was one of them as her husband didn't have any problems......Julie, has that changed at all or are they still working for him?
Hope this helps, Web.....we def need to all band together and get this fixed!

Sorry, Web, I didn't finish answering you. .no, I have not tried Qualitest 10/325 only the 10/500. I have Amneal right now, 10/325, and I don't like them. Request the Qualitest, I am going to on my next fill. If the 10/500 work, the 10/325 should work as well. They did in the Watson brand before the change.

WOW u said swollen feet? well i know my feet got VERY swollen and it was right after i took the white ones for the first time, i thought it had to dowith starting an antidepressent as my feet have NEVER swelled before. there could be dangerous stuff in these pills omg. and an ATTORNEY already told me there is a law that protects pharmecutical companies regarding their generic drugs so they cannot be sued. ever. and i dont think there would be a lawsuit anyway cuz NOTHING dangerous has happened as of yet. They just ripped us off and i talked to my pharmacist yesterday who is usually really cool and he also made it sound like we are all crazy i cant believe it.

kr, I used watsons form & filled it out & sent it. I did this almost a month ago so I don't know what is going on with their website. I would go the the website & get the phone number for the drug side effects & call them. U will probably have better luck. I just thought, maybe they shut down the form bc they are getting too many complaints. Well, they can't shut down the phone line! Keep me updated on what happens. I am going to call them, fda, & dea.

I would find a pharmacy that sells Qualitest. That's my opinion. But, Amneal might work for you OR, kr, ask your doc to write for name brand Norco and write "medically necessary" I guess that has worked for some people. Do u have insurance? Work comp pays for my meds so next month I am going to ask for "medically necessary name brand." I am getting sick all the time on these others. But, that could be just me, I DO have an ear infection & sinus infection. LOL

kr-yes, I've been experiencing extreme water retention in my legs and feet. I, too, thought it was from a new RX I started for high blood pressure, but I had taken the BP med in the past and never had that happen.
Has anyone else noticed heartburn type burning in your chest since the change? Headaches? Restlessness? I'm so glad to have found that others notice it's not the same! Some people think it works better for them, but I do not get the same pain relief and am experiencing way too many negative side effects.
I refilled my RX about a week ago, and still the white ones from Walgreens. They said I'm only the third person to complain, I hope others continue to do so as well

Brenda, yes to headaches and heartburn! Some restlessness, mostly drowsiness, nausea and upset stomach.

The yellow ones were great because not only were they very effective for pain relief, however they provided energy without feeling you drank a pot of coffee, and again once the pain was under control, a somewhat tranquil feeling without the drowsiness. All in all the Actavis must take us for idiots if they are to have us believe they simply only removed some yellow dye!

What are peoples thoughts between Amneal or Mallinkrodts generic 10/325 Norco?

I ran into same problem with white vs yellow! I called Watson (now under new name) questioning the difference. They TRIED their PR answers with me concerning allergic reactions to yellow! I explain how sensitive I am to certain drugs due to being a colon cancer survivor! I even had to tell the clinical Analysts that this was not Humorous; that it was my health we were discussing!!!! Does this tell You how uncaring this "new" company is? Instead of everyone reiterating what THEY are saying; do some research! I could not find records of ANY lawsuits or serious issues regarding allergic reactions to yellow dye. I asked them (different departments) about the "filler" ingredients and that is when they transferred me to CA and he began to Contradict what they mentioned earlier! HE assured me once again that nothing else changed except the color!!! I stated than you guarantee I will not have any problems! He stated that he could not say that coz it depends on where the "source" of product comes from!!!! I thanked him for admitting exactly what I accused them by using cheaper overseas products so shareholder's would receive a better return and they get more bonuses! I took my first pill this morning within 1 hour my hands and feet were swollen, my skin is itching, but no rash.and everything taste salty! I know it is a reaction to whatever they changed not just removing dye!!! . I can not find any info on a lawsuit for medical reasons; but they have one now! Yes, I am contacting FDA right after I get confirmation of my reaction! I do not drink alcohol, and I am not on any other drugs that are hard on the liver. It is my hope that the FDA does something before someone ends up with serious medical issues or possibly dies. According to my records Norco is considered a brand name not generic! I may be incorrect but that is what I was led to believe! Good luck to all and God bless

my pharmacy also said only 2 or 3 others complained. the side effects i got besides my feet swollen, is nausea headaches, and waking up after only sleeping a few hours in excruciating back pain which has not happened in over a year. this is bs and someone needs to do something. ill bet the idiots who say its all in our head work for that company because i have given it to other people to make SURE it was NOT only in my head and they have ALL agreed these r bs. no way do they have 10 mg of hydrocodone in them i pray someone has them tested and we can sue these mfers.

Due to this nonsense caused me to began educating myself on all of this and in doing so, I stumbled upon sonething called CWE or Cold Water Extraction, it is a simple process of separating all the fillers and APAP from the Hydrocodone, all you need is water and a coffee filter. I did in fact try it, and in doing so noticed I didnt suffer the nasty side effects, and had slightly moderate pain relief. The quick process takes about 20 minutes, kinda silly just to take medication. However might be helpful until, you find an alternative medication or Actavis - Watson does the right thing.

It is frustrating that this is the the length I have to go due to the greed this company, basically giving us poison to a certain degree!

I have a suspicion they are sourcing their ingredients in China, remember the issue with bad dog food a few years back, bad Chinese drywall, toothpaste?

So it wouldnt surprise me, and unless you get someone honest, in the know, you can bet you will get the company lip service...

What about bringing this all to the attention of a reporter who covers the health care industry? They would have much to go on just from this thread.

This would be probably be better and quicker results than even contacting a lawyer or the FDA would.

Yes, read my post, not sure your local news channel is the way to go, look for a national reporter that covers health care,
(don't mean to sound technical, however using all caps, conveys that you are shouting at all of us)

I picked up my refill today only to find white watson 10/325. Within an hour of taking one, I had stomach cramps, a headache, and NO pain relief. AND to those of you who take this medication recreationally, I want to say a Big "THANK YOU". It is because of people like you that cause folks with life altering pain to be treated like druggies and are forced to swim in the same cesspool as you , so we can get up and go to work each day to support your no good asses.
