I have been on Subutex for a year. My Doctor has retired, abruptly. I cannot find another physician willing to prescribe me Subutex (24 mg. daily) instead of Suboxone. I travel a lot w/ work. I would be grateful if anyone could tell me ANY Doctor anywhere on the East Coast that prescribes Subutex. Suboxone breaks me out in horrible itchy rashes and welts, makes breathing a little difficult and gives me blinding headaches- within ten to fifteen minutes of taking it. I am serious about recovery. Can someone help?! If you wish to email me you may

If you need a doctor in south jersey to help you get off oxy's and put you on subutex/suboxine - I prefer subutex because I got deathly ill on suboxine. The name of the place is addiction medicine. If you can't find the number post your number and I will call. Sorry I don't give out my number or the doc's on a site like this. Wish you the best.

Thank you very much man! I just now received your reply. I don't blame you for not wanting to put your Doctor's info. on here. I will search and see if I can find it. If not, i'll give you my contact information. Thank you again.

For the safety of our users, we do not allow any personal contact information to be posted on our site, except in extremely rare cases.

If the doctor's number is posted publicly online in listings, then posting that would be acceptable.

One issue that you may be running into is trying to get a specific medication prescribed. What you should really do, whenever you see a new doctor, is let your medical records speak for themselves.

Are there any other questions?

There is a Dr Bowden (he can be found online if you do a search for Suboxone prescribing physicians in Philadelphia) in the Oak Lane and Downtown parts of Philadelphia. He prescribes Subutex if the situation warrants and he trusts you or your medical records show you are to be trusted. I have the same reaction to the Suboxone.

Dr. gooberman...he gives up to 60 subutex a month..he is out of merchantville n.j, about ten mins from philly. its located in Camden county south Jersey. he has a team of doctors. you can basically walk in for help or call to set up an appointment ..Google his name..he also invented a the naltrexone pellet. he is easy to google..and he is as expensive as other doctors...i pay 125 cause he doesn't take insurance, it actually went up 25 bucks lol, but my insurance covers the script but the 8$ copay ..133$ total for 60 8mg subutex ..

Really man? You asked the exact same question that I had asked. Except you said you "had" a Doctor that had prescribed you Subutex. Why won't you let us know his name? That's fair, isn't it? Maybe the area that he moved to is within the range that i could travel, or someone else could. Threads like yours really piss me off. It makes me think that you just have your hand out but are unwilling to help anyone else.

stu4recovery....I am with you in finding a doc on the east coast. I am in Pennsylvania..I have been searching for a few months now. I was prescribed the subutex, and my dr retired, and like you, the new drs only want to use the suboxone films. Currently I am awaiting a response from a friend that lives in Philadelphia Pa. She had to ask a friend. So in the meantime, if there is anyone out there that knows of a subutex prescriber in PA...Close to Central Pa. I'd greatly appreciate any help. Email me or post on here. Thanks

Pa has to be the hardest state to get perscribed one of the things that can keep people from overdosing or death.. somone seriously needs to step up esp in pa.. or needs to help getting them here cause no wonder theres so much herion and opiates.. damn some people are actually tryin to live life a little bit instead of always being sick or broke.. no wonder people just want to die cause they never think they will change. doctors step up

I'm seven months pregnant and am on subutex. My doctor already hates me because Ive refused to go to therapy and pay him for it. I have my reasons, I know it's s***ty but I was really nauseous the other day and I smoked a little weed, awful I know I feel awful! Even more disconcerting, I'm worried he will cut me off of my medication.. The medication HE insisted I keep taking although I wanted to quit when I found out I was pregnant. My question is, can he legally take me off after telling me that getting off of it would harm my baby,? Isn't that negligence? I know, I should talk right? I made a mistake and I'm not going to beat myself up over it, I'm just not going to do it again.
