How Can I Get Subutex Not Suboxone? (Page 20) (Top voted first)

Updated

I don't know how to go about this as I am shaking and can barely focus, I need help! Please. I fear that my life is going to end from my abuse of opiates. I am currently taking 250 mgs of oxycontin per day. I have a loving fiance and a stepdaughter that I want to be here for. I sit here with cold sweats, and fear going out just because I may make the fearful turn to the meds. Any and all info on how to obtain Subutex would be much appreciated. This wasn't what I wanted my life to be, and I can not let it end this way..Please help me. I am not a religious man but I pray for help as I am at my wits end with this drug.

ive been on suboxone for about 1 year now. since then ive lost about 30 pounds.I have no appetite, sometimes i go days without eating. i always have nausea and throw up alot, nothing but what i drink and stomache acid.Im always sick and i get bad headaches.I have alot of pain . Ive heard that subutex works better for pain and has less of these side effects. is this true? is it a big deal to switch from one to the other?im not looking to get high. if i was i would just get on methadone.ive also seemed way more depressed lately.could the suboxone be contributing to my depression?i need advice and help now.i cant take this sickness anymore.is switching to subutex possibly going to help with these problems?and will it help any with the pain im in.are drs willing to switch from suboxone to subutex?please help.

many of these post responses are full of misinformation, generic bupe is no different than the orange stuff except that it does not have naloxone in it,if any one knows anything about this chemical you know that it was added to extend a patent on the brand "suboxone"it don't block anything because the bupe has a much stronger affinity for the opioid receptors in the body, and yes naloxone is nothing but pure posion,I almost died from it,I broke out into hives from head to toe and my throat swelled up and I nearly suffocated to death, generic bupe don't get you any more or less "higher" than suboxone,it does not even have any type of seditave or euphoric effect beyond the first few days of taking it,after that it's the worlds best anti-deppresant and yes will keep you off the dope and pain killers because you won't be thinking about the s*** anymore,I've been taking generic bupe or subutex for about 5 years,it does what it's intended to do. anybody that starts taking this stuff recreationally is an i****, sorry to be mean but the withdrawals from the long half life are unbearable, you've been warned but doubt anyone will listen

Omg people naloxine is not the blocker!!! Buprenorphine blocks the receptors in your brain. Please research this information.

NICOFENCE: I don't care how much of an opioid tolerance someone has, there is no way a person is going to be on 750 mgs of methadone. Not possible. You would be dead. Back when they occasionally gave cancer patients methadone, the MOST would be 250 to 300mgs. And we are talking horrific conditions like terminal bone cancer. I am a 30 year+ opioid addict, and the MOST I was ever on was 150 mgs for about a month. And I was nodding out loaded the whole time and had to reduce my dose to about 110 mgs. I am currently on 85 mgs of tablet methadone, having gone down from 95 mgs. Possibly a typo?

SCOLLIO: Subutex (buprenorphine) itself IS the "opiate blocker". So many mis-informed people on here. The only reason Naloxone is in Suboxone is to keep people from injecting it.

Yes suboxone is addictive and unless done right you will withdrawal but I beg to differ in the severity of withdrawal methadone is far worse to come off of ...but as with any addictive substance you must be medically assisted in your taper to wean off but of course we all know this or we wouldnt be in this situation addiction knows no boundaries we can all fall the gettin up and staying up is the problem .I read so many comments on here that make no sense like taking subs and benzo's or subs and other opiates or requesting subutex instead of suboxone come on guys get real find a comprehensive medically assisted detox program (not a money game pill mill) or dont take up a slot some one is literally DYING to get these are lives we are talking about use common sense for as long as money .drugs . and greed dominate the world we will have dr's out here giving deadly combo's and milking the sufferers god bless ..oh and by the way im clean from opiates eccept suboxone for 11 months and am getting my life back and preparing for my tapering process . Best wishes and luck to all those who still suffer

CHOOKY: You REALLY need to do some more research before posting nonsense on here. The reason I wanted Subutex rather than Suboxone is because the Naloxone exacerbated the chronic migraines and nausea I was already suffering. NOT because I wanted to "keep using"....since it is no easier to "keep using" on Subutex than it is on Suboxone.

friend- getting on subutex is no alternative to oxys. you will be hook on it just the same. sorry. i am speaking from experience. most people could not believe how many mg's i was using a day. they best way to get off is go to rehab and get meds that make u feel less sick. but you will still be shaky and have a few cold sweats. not as bad though. good luck dude.
