I need to know if this type of pill is harmful to a toddler. First of all, I would like to stress that if you think your child has gotten hold of a medication of some type, please DO NOT post on a free website and wait for an answer. You should ALWAYS contact your doctor or nearest ER facility to be on the safe side. That said, L485 is a generic or store brand of Tums, a chewable antacid containing 500mgs of Calcium Carbonate.
