Can Patient Crush It
difficulty with swallowing pills. can swallow 20mg , not able to swallow 40 mg .. which is more advised. 2 20 mg. or can 40 mg be crushed and taken? I hope you have gotten your answer by now, but it is fine to crush this medication and administer it in some applesauce, jelly, jam or the like.

Crushed With Juice?
Can I crush my non-chewable amoxicillin pills and put them in orange juice? Do you know if it will be as effective? I hate swallowing pills. Well if pills are not extended release than maybe crushing wont make any differnce. Because it would dissolve. I think a doctor should know this one.

Emptying Medicine From Capsules..
Does anyone know if it is okay to empty the medicine out of a 500 mg capsule and take it alone in a spoon? My husband cannot swallow capsules and he failed to ask the pharmacist for a liquid form of the medication. I too have trouble swallowing any pills--I just put them in a teaspoon of applesauce...
