Can I still drink Theraflu tea form while on Amox-Clav 875 mg ## Hello, Alin! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between this antibiotic and the various Theraflu tea products, but it's always best to double check to be sure. The FDA lists the typical side effects of most antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

I would like to know if I can use theraflu with amoxicillin 500 mg? ## Hi Kara, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Amoxicillin and the ingredients found in Theraflu (Acetaminophen + Diphenhydramine + Phenylephrine). While this does not necessarily mean that no interactions exist, it is my understanding that this combination is generally regarded as safe. I, myself have also taken this combination in the past without any notable side effects that I can recall. Nevertheless, if you have any doubts it's probably best to contact your doctor just to be sure. I hope this helps!

I'm currently nursing my 2 week old baby and woke up with a cold. I was wanting to take Theraflu and continue feeding my baby with breastmilk that I had stored. My question was how long does it remain in your system to know when I can continue breastfeeding? ## this site is not medical professionals, so you should consult your doctor or a pharmacist to be certain. That said, however, Thera Flu contains Acetaminophen, Chlorpheniramine and Pseudoephedrine. Some formulations may contain Phenylephrine and Dextromethorphan and you did not specifically say which one you were talking about. That said, however, it would be safest to wait at least 24 hours or so, before breast feeding, again, after taking this. ## 3 hours ago I took 1 teaspoon of Theraflu and severe cough. Can I take my Zolo...

Can I mix theraflu with hydrocod/Acetaminophen 7.5-325 ml or should I wait a few hours ? ## Hello, Och! How are you? Which Theraflu product did you take? There are several different ones available on the market. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you!! The FDA classifies Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Flu medication put out by Roche ## I have heard that Thermaflu is the best medication for children in fighting Swine Flu. I have three grandchildren in Lima, Peru and would like to learn more about Thermaflu so I can send a supply to them, if warranted. Plse reply. Thanks ## Are you possibly referring to TheraFlu? If so, this is an over the counter remedy and not proven to prevent anything, including swine flu. ## The name of the medicine should be TAMIFLU, it treats flu,and sells under prescription of doctor. Must be taken within 12 to 48 hours from the first appearance of flu symptoms. More drug details: Manufacturer's site: www.tamiflu.com

How can you tell if acetaminophen is a rx or just otc? Is the dosage a clue? ## Based on my own research I found that Acetaminophen (also known as Paracetamol) is an ingredient contained in many OTC and prescription medicines. For the most part, Acetaminophen would be found in typical OTC drugs such as, Benadryl, Tylenol, Theraflu, and many more medications along similar lines intended for normal colds, flu, and other minor to moderate pain. As for Acetaminophen in Rx, I found it to be similar dosages, but I believe the main difference is what drug they combined with Acetaminophen to give it a stronger effect. For example, I saw Acetaminophen used in conjunction with Oxycodone, Codeine, Hydrocodone, and other serious drugs intended to be for a more serious matter. But those are Rx of co...

I've never taken or seen methamphetamine but it has shown up on my drug screen. Can any Theraflu products cause me to fail the urine test that shows up as AMP/MAMP? Please help. ## No, if they contained it or any derivatives, they would not be able to be sold over the counter. Have you talked to your doctor about what might show up in this manner? There have been a lot of posts recently about false positives, which leads me to believe there may be a bad batch of test out there on the market. What type of test was it, urine or blood? ## I took a drug test I don't smoke or drink or anything. I took thera-flu and day-quil only and my quick urine test came back positive. Now they are going to send it off for further testing. I would never do drugs! I am not that stupid. How can this...

I came out positive for lorazepam on a urine test at the methadone clinic. The only things i've taken were ambien, theraflu, sudafed, and some other over the counter medications. Will that give me a positive for lorazepam? ## Do you mean you tested positive for 'benzodiazepines' rather than, specifically, 'lorazepam' (which is Ativan by brand name)?? Typically complience check randomized drug tests, like the kind you would receive at a clinic for methadone will test for main groups of drugs, not individual ones, unless they are sent to a lab for more specific testing (which methadone clinics do not routinely do as it would cost way more money than itd be worth for them to do this). So lorazepam belongs to the drug family classified as benzodiazepines (clonazepam or k...
