I've came across a blueish Oblong pill with imprint only on one side S4. Can someone please tell me what it could be? ## Hi Robert, Based on your description the closest match I'm finding is a 25mg Diphenhydramine hydrochloride tablet, that is a pink oblong/oval pill with S4 on one side and blank on the other. Apparently it is manufactured by Himprit Pharma Chem, out of india. I also came across a 10mg Simvastatin, red oblong/oval pill with S4 on one side and blank on the other. This one happens to be manufactured by Accord Healthcare. I realize that the color is off on the two pills I just mentioned, but still wanted to post their details in case you or any other readers desired to contact either of these manufacturers, in order to determine whether or not they make a blue vers...

Red/gray pill. Oblong like capsule but not an actual capsule. It's broke in half with just the red side and very little of the gray side. The red side has imprint in black either the letter "O" or the number "0". Any ideas? ## Hi Scias, Unfortunately, since the entire pill isn't showing.. neither is the imprint which is vital to verifying the pill's identity. I found a number of red/grey capsules with an imprint including the letter O. One of the capsules I located is, Principen which contains (500 mg) of ampicillin. It is a red/grey capsule with the imprint BRISTOL 7993 (in black letters) on each side. Manufacturer: Bristol-Myers Squibb Ampicillin is closely related to amoxicillin, another type of penicillin, and both are used to treat urinary tract infectio...

Bright Red, oblong pill, scored, imprint "one" on one side. Can't find this pill in any of the on-line literature. ## Because this pill has no "identifiable" markings, it is going to be difficult to determine what this tablet contains. U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have unique letters or numbers (sometimes in addition to a logo of some kind) imprinted on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. However, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so there could be many, many pills on the market, both over the counter and prescription that meet that physical description. It is very likely that this pill falls into one or more of the categories listed below:...

Red and yellow capsule - NO imprint at all. Maybe an antibiotic or Cipro...... ## I don't think this pill was manufactured in the U.S., as it has no letter or number imprints. It's an oblong shaped brownish red colored pill and only has 51 imprinted on it, so please let me know! ## @Juiceka, According to the discussion thread linked below, this is reported to be a 200mg Equate brand Ibuprofen USP tablet, allegedly available over the counter at Walmart. Source: red pill with only 51 imprint And just to confirm it's an oblong redish / maroon pill with 51 on one side and blank on the other. Small oblong caplet white with red/pink speckles no imprint no opportunity to cut in half looks old. Found in deceased mother's medcine cabinent ## Because there's no markings, it is going to be difficult to determine what this tablet contains, unless you were to pay to have it lab tested, somewhere. What is this pill? It says on the bottle, "rapid release pain.......Containing acetaminophen" ## I haven't been able to find a listed that matches this, but I am wondering if it is a generic, or store brand of Tylenol Rapid Release? The FDA lists it as containing the active ingredient Acetaminophen, and it is commonly used to treat pain, fever, and headaches. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and stomach irritation. Can you please double check the imprint and post back? Is anyone else familiar with this pill? ## 3s0 is on one side ## Could it possibly be a "5" instead of "S" in the imprint?

I found an oblong pill with the imprint 51 on it. It's kind of like the marroonish color of an advil..I have done a Google search and can't seem to find any info. If anyone knows what this pill could be please let me know. Thank you. ## I've had several people ask about this tablet and I still can't find anything definitive on it. Thus, I am wondering if it may be something that is available over the counter, such medications are usually not listed in the FDA or NIH databases. The closest I've been able to find, so far, has P 51 on it and is a red gel cap that contains Decussate, which is used as a laxative and stool softener. It's typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, bloating, abdominal cramping and diarrhea. Does anyone else recognize this pill? ...

This pill is oval and only has a 51 imprint on it. It is white in the inside and has no other numbers but 51 no other imprint or anything. ## This may be a long shot, but there's a 200mg Ibuprofen tablet that's brownish-red and oblong with l2 on one side and blank on the other. If you hold it upside down it could appear similar to 5l, depending on the condition of the tablet? For verification, the National Drug Code is 49035-517 and it appears to be a product of Walmart. Perhaps you can contact your local pharmacy and/or poison control to see if this sounds like a possible match. Whereabouts did you get it from? ## How would a 5 look like a 2, even upside down? Seriously.... Type a "2", then turn your phone upside down and look at it. Does it look like a 5? ## David is c...

red oblong pill, rather large, there are no markings on it at all ## What is this big maroon pill. No markings. Is it an anabolic steroid? ## Hello, Since the pill does not have a marking on it I won't be able to give you an accurate answer as to what is inside of the pill. What I can say is that in the United States the FDA requires that all controlled medicines have an identifiable marking/imprint on them so it is extremely unlikely a prescription medication. This leaves you with the possibility of being a number of things such as vitamins, illegal substance, supplement, dietary pill etc. Since there are far too many brands and types of these available on the market you can see why it would be near impossible to actually identify something like this without having it analyzed by a...

What is this medication? The lot number is 1206253b and it's an oblong red pill. ## Hi Trace, To the best of my knowledge there's no way to identify specific medications based on lot numbers alone. However, if you happen to know the pill's National Drug Code (NDC) or if you can provide any details pertaining to whatever imprint is on the pill you possess, that would be of great help. If there is no marking or imprint to be found, I'd probably encourage you to look into having this pill analyzed by a lab for 100% verification. Alternatively, depending on where you found it or who you got it from, you might even want to consider the idea of purchasing a drug panel kit from any local pharmacy to determine whether or not any illicit substances are present. Please post back i...
