I was taking effexor 150 mg. since March 08 just yesterday my doctor switched me to Prestiq 50 mg. I haven't been reading too many great reviews about it? Is it very similar to effexor? the dr changed my med from effexor to this prestiq.can you tell me anything about it They are both SSNRI antidepressants, however, Pristiq is very new to the market, it was just approved on February 29. 2008.
The most common side effects include: nausea, dry mouth, fatigue and dizziness.

I was taking 100 MG of Prestiq, 300 MG of Seroquel, and 150 MG of Wellbutrin. I slowly whinned myself off of everything, but the Prestiq.
