I found 2 maroon pills in my sons backpack. There is no identifying imprints they are soft gels about an inch long. Can you please try to identify them? ## U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have a unique imprint on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. However, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so there are many, many pills on the market, both over the counter and prescription that meet that description. In this case it just comes down to who your son got the pills from and whether or not it was a reliable source. Other than that there's not much you can do, since there are no markings on the pills. These pills fell out of my son's pocket. They were in a small individual packet. He has had trouble in the past with drugs and I just want to know if this is something kids are experimenting with? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? I'm sorry, but without any markings, it's going to be difficult to determine what they contain with any certainty. Did you try asking him about them? They are most likely something that's available over the counter. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you.

It is an oblong oval solid maroon pill, with no markings on it at all. it is flat along the sides of it. About this---> ( ) long when I put it up to the monitor. I am just curious... Kinda mysterious without a label. ## Well, it can be ruled out as being a prescription tablet, because they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. So yes, it is most likely some type of over the counter product. Unfortunately, that really doesn't tell me the size, since my monitor may be different than yours, so things like text and symbols may appear smaller or larger to me. As to the pill, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Is it an anabolic steroid? ## Hello, Since the pill does not have a marking on it I won't be able to give you an accurate answer as to what is inside of the pill. What I can say is that in the United States the FDA requires that all controlled medicines have an identifiable marking/imprint on them so it is extremely unlikely a prescription medication. This leaves you with the possibility of being a number of things such as vitamins, illegal substance, supplement, dietary pill etc. Since there are far too many brands and types of these available on the market you can see why it would be near impossible to actually identify something like this without having it analyzed by a...

found capsule, its oblong pink on one side and deep red (maroon0 on other ## Are there any markings on it? If not, then we can rule it out as being a manufactured prescription medication, since they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. That means that this is most likely some type of over the counter product. Where did you find it? Some products are regional, so knowing the general location may help to narrow it down. ## It's a study capsule, perhaps estrogen ans progesterone
