okay i was presrcibed (nitrofur-macr 100mg) and iam taking prenatal pills what would the side effects be? and will it harm my baby? Have you spoken to your doctor about your concerns? Most antibiotics do not harm the fetus, your doctor will tell you which ones you should not take. However, we are not medical professionals to really advise you on this. I am 15 weeks pregnant I was put on this medication for a UTI 2 capsules a day for 7 days I took 3 doses and didn't think much about mood changes because of being pregnant, after 4th dose I experienced severe vomiting, at the same time my nose was gushing blood, and I became extremely confused and unable to speak anything that made sence, I read possible side effects some included unusual bleeding confusion mood or mental changes severe vomiting. Is macrobid or the generic ( Nitrofur Macr 100) be related to Sulfer or Penicillin? Although this is an antibiotic, It does not contain Sulfur, nor is it related to Penicillin.
