Methadone Drug Test

I am new in pain management. My dr gave me a script for oxycodone and said that they will be testing to make sure the medicine is in my system and to Make sure I'm not taking any street drugs. I ran out of my Oxys and was In bad pain and getting withdrawals so I took methadone on Saturday 1/31/15, the next day and my last on Monday feb 2. Between 1/31/16-2/2/15 I took maybe about 10 10mg methadones on Monday February 2nd I had taken my last two because I was able to get Oxys. I go back to my dr and get a urine test on February 10th. Will the methadone be out of my system by then?? ## That much methadone could take up to 6 days to leave your urine as long as it's been 6 or more days your fine. Hi i took 40mg of methadone 3 days ago and it was the first time i have ever taken it. Since then i have drank alot of alcohol and was informed a had a drug screen for the military this morning. Before i took the screen i drank about a gallon of water and sat in a sauna for 45 min and sweat a ton. What do u think my chances of passing are since i did that and i have only took it once in myvlife??

I go to a methadone clinic and i'm on 20 milligrams, it's not showing methadone in my system, and their denying me of my take homes. why isn't it showing up in my system? I've been clean for 4 years. Please, I need answers, they think I'm bringing in someone else's urine. Even in an instant drop it showed no signs of methadone. Thankyou. ## they need to do a test called peak and (trouft) that one im not sure of the spelling. It test how fast you metabolize it. They will take you blood in the morning and then hours later. I had this happen to me years ago and it was solved by this test. I hope this helps you and sorry about my spelling.

I have been taking methadone for 6 year every day as prescribed. Just got off two 3 weeks ago. Is it possible for methadone to stay in ur system for longer because I was on it so long? I was just at my PO. I used methadone six days ago. She sent my ua in to be tested. Do you think it will be positive.I am a think woman and pretty active do you think it will be positive? ## Hi scarf, From what I could gather, Methadone can be detected in your urine for as long as 6-12 days after your last dose; depending on the dosage and frequency of use. If you're pretty active (exercising at least 3 days a week) it will be out of your system much sooner than if you weren't doing anything. I would've also suggested drinking plenty of fluids to help flush your system out, but I'm sure you already did what you could in the time frame you had. I have been on a methadone programme for 3 years now and recently I had a urine drug screen done which came up positive for fluoxitine which the lab tech interpreted as diazepam. I had injected my methadone a few times prior to this test is it possible that by injecting it it gave them the reading of fluoxetine or diazepam?? My husband has been on methadone for 8 months at 10-15 mg per day. He recently has gotten put on probation and has to come off of it. WILL METHADONE ROXANE THE RED LIQUID SHOW UP ON A DRUG TEST? ## It depends on the type of test being done, there are a few basic ones that don't look for it, but most of them do. Thus it would be wisest to assume that it's a broad panel test that will check for it. Have you already had the test?

If you take methadone 30mg two times in two days (30mg per day) and have not taken anymore at all for 7 days will you pass a drug test at a pain management clinic on the 8th day? Also I have not taken methadone 14 days prior to the days the 30 mg was taken. ## Your chance are slim it won't show up opiates take 3 to seven days to leave the body it's how much you took before drug test and when you quit before test that counts cross your fingers you could be ok

I have been using someone else's pee to test at the Methadone Clinic. They test everyone once a month....recently my test came back inconclusive..meaning there were no traces of Methadone metabolizing in my system. Since I go there everyday my case worker said all I can say is " its not your pee ". I took 20mgs of methadone about once a week for the last month and I'm gonna get a job offer within the next 2 weeks to a month and it requires a 12 panel hair follicle drug test. Is 20mgs 5 times low enough for me to pass or do I have to do the toxin shampoo, vinager, dish soap, ect....? ## The hair stuff won't work for methadone. I'm sorry but you'll fail. ## Is 22 nanograms of methadone considered to be a high level in a hair follicle test? All I'm reading is "pg", but nothing measured in nanograms.

I have been taking 60 mg of methadone a day for about 3 months. i weigh 230 and am 6 feet tall. i have a urine test coming up in 5 days, which i am positive they test for methadone. is there any way i am going to pass this and can you give me ANY tips on what to do to get this out of my system by then to pass. thank you ## If its a simple u/a you should pass after being clean for the 5 days. I just started going to the methadone clinic about 4 weeks ago. I used to be a very heavy drug user, Heroin and pills were my life. When I took my initial drug test at the clinic I asked them if my marijuana levels were really high, and they told me they don't test for marijuana. I live in Texas. Does anyone know what kind of drug test they are using and exactly what they test for? I thought on all standard drug tests, they test for THC. Ok so get this, my husband and I started going to the methadone clinic everyday. Well the first day we went we got urine tested and saliva tested! Now i know for a fact we both had pot and opiates. But i also had oxy in my system along with the other 2. We both failed the urine test; my husband for marijuana and opiates, and myself for marijuana, oxy, and opiates. I was given a swab test to see if I was using illicit drugs on top of my methadone, and to my shock it came back positive for coke and heroin and negative for methadone and diazepam which I take daily. Does anyone know how this could happen? Thing is I took a urine test 2 weeks prior and that was fine, so what happened I do not know. Any info would be appreciated.

I am wondering if she is the one prescribing the methadone, why is she ordering a drug test? ## She may want to just check and make sure that you are taking the medication, as prescribed and not abusing it or selling it. It is very common for doctors to do this. If you are prescribed a certain amount, at a certain dosing interval, the levels in your urine should fall within a certain range. Anything outside of that range can alert them to a potential problem. Will Methadone show up in a regular blood draw at the. Doctors office? ## If you are referring to a just a regular test, where they doctor looks for signs of infection, checks your vitamin and electrolyte levels and etc. then no. They would have to specifically order the type of test that checks for controlled substances. However, Methadone is a very dangerous medication, so you shouldn't be taking it, without your doctor's approval and supervision.
