Imitrex is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline Inc. Imitrex tablets can not be split. This medicine is a cerebral vasoconstrictor used to relieve migraine headache attacks as they occur. It will not prevent or reduce the number of attacks you experience.

Imitrex And Depakote Er
My doctor had me taking Propranolol for migraines but I still had migraines 5 days a week, so he put me on Depakote ER. I was wondering if Imitrex is still safe to take now that I'm on this new med.

Excedrin
Excedrins for 1. back, 2, sinus, 3 migraine, etc. all appear to have the same or almost same formulation. I take for unset of sinus migraines. Works beautifully and sinus' drain within 30 min, usually preventing migraines. In the rare case Excedrin doesn't work, I have Imitrex on hand.
