Can I use these tablets together? I have some kind of reaction not sure to what though. I get red bumps that are very itchy on my hands first but now find them on my upper part of my feet as well as legs and tummy and some in my face. Went to doc about a week and half back and he seemed to think is some kind of viral infection, gave me mess to use which I finished but still have the bumps and itches

I need to know the manufacturer's name, and would also like to know the inert ingredients, especially color agents. I'm allergic to yellow dye #5. ## Hello, The manufacturer for this pill is Teva Pharmaceuticals USA. Being that this pill is orange I'm led to assume it has some sort of dye in it, but I cannot determine if yellow #5 has been used. Below is the manufacturers website. There's a contact link on the page that should allow you to email or call the customer service center to inquire about such details: Please post back if you have any other questions or comments to add.

I have the fexofenadine hydrochloride tablets in 180 mg dosage. Question: they seem too strong for me--can i split them in half? ## Is there a score line (indent) on the pill? If there is, then it is there specifically for the purpose of cutting the pill in half. Whether or not there is a score line, I would still cut the pill in half if it is needed. Maybe talk to your doctor about getting a lower dose of this medication if you consistently feel the need to use half a dose. NOTE: cutting a pill in half only works if the pill is in tablet form. This just wouldn't work if it is a capsule, since the contents would fall out. Hope this helps! ## thanks for the info. thought this was what i could do. just too much for me in 180 mg dose. thanks again ## I know this is an old topic, but I ...

Why is it so hard to find 60 mg fexofenadine on shelves anywhere. The only thing I can find generic or otherwise is 180 mg, 24 hour. ## Hello, SJW! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. I'm sorry, but I'm not exactly sure why you can't find it, since it is an over the counter product, shortages are not required to be reported. Have you tried asking your pharmacist? They may know more. This is a generic for Allegra, which is used to treat allergies and which may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and drowsiness. It could even be that the 60mg dosage just doesn't sell as much as the other, so it may not be viable for most stores to keep it in stock.

can i take more than 180 mg of fexofenadine my eyes are swollen and my throat is drying up i have an epi pen but am not sure when to use it ## Hello, Betty! How are you? The epi pen should be used when you have trouble breathing and you may feel like you are going to lose consciousness, or your family should know to use it, if you lose consciousness and can't communicate with them. There are training videos you can watch for them and it should be shot into the thigh. As to the Fexofenadine, while it can be taken in higher doses, it will not usually help fast enough, if you are having a severe anaphylactic reaction. In such cases, Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or your epi pen are the best choices, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, because they work much faster and could save your ...

I have an extreme case of HAY FEVER can I take double dose OK? ## This contains the active ingredient Fexofenadine, an antihistamine, in a time released formulation. And I wouldn't suggest doubling up on it, unless your doctor specifically tells you to do so. Though it seems like a safe medication, you could still harm yourself by overdosing on it. If your allergy symptoms are that severe, you may need something that isn't time released and should discuss it with your doctor. Are there any other questions?

Is the generic for Allegra D ( 60/120 mg) still made and is it a prescription medication? ## Hi Bud, The generic name for Allegra D is Fexofenadine + Pseudoephedrine; and from what I could gather, it is still manufactured, but only available with your doctor's prescription. I'm not sure why this is (being that Allegra D is now available OTC), so you'd probably have to contact your doctor for more details on that. I also found additional information stating that it may have already become an over-the-counter medication as of this year (I don't know however if this statement applies to the generic version or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't): "Allegra-D is a combination product containing fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine in strengths of 60/120mg and 180/240...

i purchased some allegra d from over seas they have come in foil packaging and are large round tablets yellow on one side and white on the other they say nothing on the pill but do say 120mg fexofenadine and 180mg psuedoephidrine sulfate usp i have not seen these ones before and got then because they are cheaper than most of the rest can you please tell me if they are the right ones or not ## With no markings on the tablets, I can't tell you anything about them, I'm sorry. This is one of the hazards of ordering from foreign sources that aren't FDA approved, they are not regulated like companies approved to sell in the U.S. and you have no way of knowing what you might receive. The only way to be certain would be to pay to have them lab tested. Is anyone familiar with these t...
