topical ointment ## I don't know if there is anything specific you would like to know regarding Vitamin A & D topical ointment? Below is some basic info about it for those seeking a brief overview. Vitamin A & D is a petroleum and lanolin-based ointment that has vitamin A and vitamin D in it. The ointment protects the skin and the vitamins promote healing in minor burns. I personally used it a number of times to help heal a couple tattoos and it worked great! I'm sure it has a few other uses as well, but certainly wound care is a top priority for this ointment. If you have any specific questions or comments to add, please post back.

Where can I find butesin picrate burn ointment? ## Hi Kathye, Based on my research, Butesin Picrate does not appear to be available anymore from the proposed manufacturer (Abbott Australasia). However I did come across an older post back from 2011, stating that there were pharmacies in Guatemala who carried it under the Spanish name Picrato de Bustesin. This information can be viewed in the following thread: Discuss/butesin-picrate-burn-cream-195494.htm One other thing I'd also recommend doing, is browsing through some of the other message boards here discussing this medication. Perhaps you can find more specific details on it's availability by searching in this way. On a side note, aloe vera gel is also a good substitute for burn treatment if all else fails. Hope this helps!

Can someone PLEASE tell me if a PRECAUTIONS LEAFLET should be inside the packet of KENACOMBE OINTMENT? I was prescribed this ointment with no leaflet to rub into my scalp for 2 weeks for infected dermatitis; my doctor of 5 years knew I had a bout of shingles two years ago and was still suffering nerve spasms in the back. After four applications of Kenacombe a rash appeared on my forehead; eyes severely itching and ears sore and itching. With no faith in the doctors in my area, I went to Brisbane for a second opinion to my rash as it was now spread to my breasts and midriff and down the top of my legs. The rash was burning and some blistering. The doctor in Brisbane indicated the Neomycin was the cause of the rash and burning and it would escalate for 14 days before easing!! imagine if I...

I had my colon removed, now I have this burning sensation after each bowel movement. After each movement I apply Lidocaine for relief but it burns worse and won't cease until I remove it. When I was using the lower % 2.5, that worked but had to use a lot for relief. I tried the 5% at the diva office and it worked fine but doesn't now. ...why? ## Do have any more details on it, such as the ingredients, or the manufacturer? That would give me the information needed to research this for you. It is possible that you are just sensitive to some ingredient in that dosage, the FDA does warn that skin burning, and irritation can be side effects, along with redness, and scaling skin. At the office they may have had one made by a different manufacture, your pharmacy might have provided you...

Is sulfatiazol safe to use for pruritus - from kidney failure ## Based on my research, this is a cream or ointment sold in mexico used to treat infections of the skin and burns. It contains sulfur. It was once used fairly commonly, until other less toxic options were found. The toxicity of it is why it is no longer available in the U.S. However to further answer your question, I think it really depends on whether or not the Pruritus (Itching) is due to an infection and not just an allergic reaction to something else. If you can determine that it is in fact an infection, then yes, this medication may be used for such treatment. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Sulfathiazole Details I hope this helps!

dry skin ## Can this be used under eyes on very red dry and a bit itchy skin ## This is a corticosteroid that is used to treat topical skin conditions, such as allergic rashes, and hives. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, irritation, burning, and flaking. Ella, it depends on what is causing the issue. Has your medical provider told you to use it on those areas? If so, you must be very careful not to get it in your eyes. You must be cautious, because if used improperly, it might worsen some conditions, such as acne, migraines, and rosacea.

Pink, thick cream was sold in tube or jar. Used for cuts, burns, diaper rash, etc. Is it still manufactured anywhere? ## Desparately looking for comfortine ointment. Anyone knowing where to purchase please email me. Used mainly for diaper rash or bed sores. Very effective! ## Have not had any luck finding it either. It's too bad when good products are discontinued or suddenly disappear. From what I have gathered this ointment contains Zinc Oxide + Vitamin A + Vitamin D (from Cod Liver Oil) as the effective ingredients. There are other topical Zinc based ointments out there, but none with that exact formulation. Another possibility would be to see if a pharmacist could create a custom compound based on those ingredients. Has anybody else had any luck finding this or a similar product...

can i use this ointment for fongus on my hand ## This ointment is usually used to debride chronic skin ulcers and severe burns. That said, it is probably not the best choice to treat a fungal infection, as it is not an antifungal agent and it could make your skin very sensitive, so the fungus could spread and get worse. Have you consulted your doctor?
