Anyone Else Trying Savella For Fibromyalgia? Tuesday, 2/9/2010 9:04:02 AM in Savella This is a new medication that just came out for fibromyalgia. I have several other conditions involving spinal degeneration , herniated discs, arthritus, etc. I've been taking this medication for a little over 2 weeks now and have worked up to the full dose. My biggest symptom seems to be upset stomach but I don't know if it's from the Savella or from de-toxing from 7 other medications that I've been on for over 10+ yrs. Is there anyone else out there that has started this medication that can give me any information that they may have on it? 136 Replies

Coumadin Horror Tuesday, 2/9/2010 8:22:08 AM in Coumadin am on coumadin lifetime unless have another heart surgery. i live in constant fear of this drug, i am miserable! must wait 8-10 years for surgery overseas which could cause death or disability and probably pay for myself. i chose1 heart valve over another and now regretting it.I probably need therapy, hopefully not anti-depressants. any suggestions? Side Effects Of Suboxone Tuesday, 2/9/2010 7:10:02 AM in Suboxone I have been on suboxone now for just under a month. I think it is an amazing drug, i have had no cravings or interest in returning to opiates, my drug of choice was oxy. I get up every day feeling happy, and am able to take on what ever the day brings me. I am also on lexapro for depression at this time. There is one problem after i take my dose, which is 8 mg. twice a day, I am extremely tired sometimes to the point where if i sit down I will nod off, so I keep moving and can usually fight through it. I am wondering do other people feel this way or does it get better the longer you are on it? Two other things that are sometimes very bothersome are dizzyness and extreme dry mouth. I just wanted to find out other peoples experiences. Thanx 9 Replies

Effexor It Is Ruining My Life Monday, 2/8/2010 9:51:28 PM in Effexor XR I don't even remember how long I have been on Effexor, but I know the day the doctor gave me samples, he said that this is a new medication that I want you to try and see if it doesn't help you more than the others we have tried. HA! That is the joke of the century. I also take sinemet and requip for restless legs syndrome. Little did I know that you are not supposed to mix the medications. Now my body, mind and brain are addicted to all three. I want nothing more than to be off all this medication. I have an appointment tomorrow with my doctor to discuss this option, however, with all I have read, I am almost too scared to try it. I have had the shakes, the electric shocks or short circuit issues in the brain and everything I have heard talked about. It is a shame to think that if my body reacts this way from not taking the medication, what the heck is the medication doing to my body when I take it? I am a fifty eight year old woman with two grandchildren whom I adore and they feel the same toward me. I want so much to see them grow up and see their children, but if things continue as they are now, I just don't know. I have gone to bed many nights not knowing if I would wake up in the a.m. from the electric shocks. They are scary as hell. Delayed Accutane Side Effects Monday, 2/8/2010 7:29:38 PM in Accutane I was on accutane in the early 90's (right after it was approved) and it did the job at the time. Now, 20 years later, I went through a severe episode of osteolysis, where my jaw bones literally melted away. I had 4 gum surgery to remove bad tissues, gum grafts, and I have scaling (deep gum cleaning with the hook from hell) every 4 months. Is there anyone else out there with the same problems that took accutane in the past? The very nature of this problem, that is an asymptomatic periodontisis with bone loss, is a very long process, and subtle one. So if this is accutane related, I doubt that it is a well documented long term side effect yet. Anyway, I am asking because 2 dentist told me that I was not the first one to bring up this link between accutane and gum/bone problems. Thanks, JSJ Post a Reply

Accutane Long Term Side Effects Monday, 2/8/2010 4:49:43 PM in Accutane I have a son that took accutane 60 mg a day for six months in a row three years ago. Now after many trips to doctors over strange medical problems, it seems accuatne is the culprit medication that has caused servere joint and muscle pain, severe dry lips, redness in face, eye infections of own immune system attacking itself, systems of osteoarthritis in both shoulders, both wrist and right hand, blood in stool, possible hair loss, abnormal liver function test results in AST and ALT. My son went from being a high school football and track athlete while taking this medication three years ago to someone that is in constant pain just washing a car. After I have researched this drug extensively, I can't believe that the FDA allows this drug originally made for cancer patients to be marketed for teenagers with acne. All one has to do is look online what vitamin A overdose does to someone and then you have the results of what this medication has done to my son. This drug needs to be taken off them market ASAP and the drug companies that make it need to compensate all teenagers that they have possible ruined their future. Shame on them !
