I take lipitor at night after I eat. Is this ok or should I take it with my meal. because I also take amlopodine at that time. ## If that's what works for you, then there is really no reason to change it. I am 41 years old. My triglycerides 225 (188), Cholestrol174 (159) LDL-114(110) and HDL-20(20R). Note with in the brackets are test dated 10-08-2010. My doctor advised me to take Fibator tablet containing atorvastatin 10 mg and fenofibrate IP 145 mg. as regular course. My Mom is 70 years old and she is Diabetic and Hypertensive. She is on Diapride-2, Arbitel H and Atorvastatin av 75 mg along with PAN 40 mg. Even after taking PAN 40 before breakfast every day she doesn't feel relieved of gastritis. Is there any other alternative for PAN 40 in this case?

I cannot swallow pills. The instructions for taking Atorvastatin says do not crush or chew. Should I continue to take it this way? ## @flatball, From what I could gather, Atorvastatin only comes in tablet form, whereas you may just have to find a way to adhere to those instructions unless your doctor suggests otherwise. Another thought is to ask your doctor if dissolving the tablets in water would be an option as well? And lastly, if none of the above is suitable for your needs, then perhaps it would be best to find another alternative to Atorvastatin that comes in different dosage forms and without restrictions as to how it can be administered. I recently received a bottle of Atorvastatin from my pharmacy and it wreaks of the smell of alcohol. I thought it might be the medicine bottle so I put them in a different bottle and they still smell awful. I can also taste the alcohol. I take other meds and I do not taste or smell that anywhere else. I brought it back to the pharmacy and the pharmacist said he couldn't smell anything. I have since had others smell the medicine and they also smell that strong odor of alcohol. Either the pharmacist was lying to me or he had no sense of smell. I would say at least 20 people here at my home have smelled my atorvastatin and they all say they smell alcohol like the kind used for cleansing the skin before a shot. Colestrol ## ## I have severy problems to sleep. Can Aspavor play a role in it? How can I solve the problem? ## I've been on the following drugs:warfarin,Tritace, Plavix,Norvasc,Lipitor,Ecotrin. 2 Bypasses and 2 stents have blocked completely but collateral circulation has been established. New cardiologist has now reduced drugs to Lipitor, Norvasc and Ecotrin.
