white oval 93 on one and 58 on the other side ## This tablet does not contain Morphine, nor any type of narcotic. This tablet contains 50mgs of Tramadol, a non-narcotic pain reliever. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Are there any questions or comments? ## Although this medicine is not an opiad it still works very well for pain. I feel its best use is for weening of prescription pills over a 5 - 7 day period. Do not underestimate their value. Someone who knows from experience!

I found a vial with several round white pills, but the label is illegible. On one side are the numbers 21 58 and on the other side is 9 8. Can you tell me what they are? Also what is a white pill with 5093 V on it? ## Hello, Pete! How are you? The tablet with the 93 2158 on it contains 100mgs of Trimethoprim, which is an antibiotic. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. And the tablet with the 5093 V marking contains 10mgs of Prednisone, which is a steroid class medication that's used to treat allergic reactions, swelling and immunity disorders. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, fluid retention and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have a white oblong pill with 58 on one side, and 93 on the other side. Is this generic Vicodin? ## this pill is not generic for vicodin. the generic for vicodin are bigger than these. the pills with 58 and 93 on the other side are tramadol it is also a pain reliever. generic for vicodin are a number on one side anywhere from 353 363. the ones i've seen. ## Chris is right. Found these in unmarked Rx bottle at home. Wondering what they are & are used for. Am thinking they are a pain med left over from my knee replacement surgery. ## Hello, Dixie! How are you? You are correct! These tablets are manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 50mgs of Tramadol. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for the info! Didn't want to get rid of them the wrong way. Definitely don't want to flush these!!! I really appreciate the prompt reply. was given for pain from my doctor because it was a substitute for lortab? ## This is NOT a substitute for Lortab. Lortab contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. This medication is Tramadol 50mgs, it is listed as a narcotic, because it is derived from an opiate, however, it does not have the same benefits or effects that an opiate does, so it does not work like one. The name brand this is sold under is Ultram. It is not recommended for severe pain treatment. Here's the monograph link with more information:

It is a non-narcotic pain reliever used for mild to moderate pain; however, it has been proven to be very addictive. Side effects include euphoria, insomnia, appetite loss, nausea, among many many other side effects. ## Second that, I currently take the same dose and size and the effects are the same as available narcotic pain killers on the market. ## Actually, this is a very mild narcotic, it actually is classified as a narcotic, because it is derived from an opiate, but it does not have the same effects as regular narcotics. It does more for inflammation than regular narcotics ...
