can this be used for an ear infection in an adult and how often should it be given ? ## Terramicina Oftalmica (Oxytetracycline) is used to treat infections of the respiratory and urinary tracts, skin, EAR, eye and Gonorrhoea although the use of Tetracyclines for such purposes has declined in recent years due to large increases in bacterial resistance to this class of drugs. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate any information regarding what the dosing should be for treating ear infections. I would suggest calling your local pharmacy to get that information, since it can vary to some degree based on each individual and how severe the infection is.
