I started subs four days ago i took an 80mg oxy a day before I got suboxone.I took one sub and it done great, but last night I took 10mg lortab because I forgot my subs and I gave into the addiction. This morning I noticed the Sub to not be as affective as usual,so I took one about an hour ago and have had no kind of opiate since and it was much more effective so I think it may have had something to do with taking the lortab.I also started out taking a whole sub,if I was you I would try a whole one cause that's a lot of oxy in a day. The suboxone has done excellent for me,but keep taking it works I got addicted when I was playing college baseball and tore my hand up and had surgery, and the tabs quickly turned to oxy.It almost cost me everything and put my parents through hell, but they never gave up on me. The suboxone made me feel like life did before oxy so with the help of the Good Lord I am getting my life back and I hope you do too good luck.

Suboxone is only meant to be taken after you have begun to withdraw (moderate withdraw symptoms) it has a high affinity (it likes) your opiate receptors more than heroin, oxys, etc.. so it will actually knock them off the receptors and throw you into full blown withdrawal if you aren't already experiencing it. I feel bad that you wasted those subs and had to suffer. But next time don't take suboxone until you are already experiencing mild to moderate symptoms and they will work like a miracle. Also most people can get by on half of a sub once or twice a day regardless of their habit in my experience (or even less...like an eighth or quarter of an 8 mg.) Good luck to you and may God bless you I hope you can kick the habit. Remember God will give his angels charge of you to guard you in all your ways psalms 91:11

Dude the 80 are time release you have to be clean of them or it will through into withdrawls you should wean down to roxi's then you only have to go 12 hours before taking suboxone. I know i was taking 5 80's plus 20 to 25 30's a day. i took suboxone for two months and now i haven't had a suboxone for about 65 hours my gut feel's a little funky but i think i can tough it out. Look it alot better than what i was doing.they don't tell you how a liitle get's to be more and more. I broke my pelvic bone in four place's when they perscribed 3-80's and 5-30mg roxi's a day needless to say it got to 5-80 and 20to 25 30's a day. Baby steps man you can do it...Carl

Suboxone is a very strong opiate in itself, so it can be dangerous, especially in conjunction with the withdrawals mentioned in the other posts, it should not be used without a doctors supervision.

You may experience side effects such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation.

and withdrawal effects such as: fever, chills, vomiting and rebound pain.
