No but the reason it is suggested that you don't is the same as any other time released pill/tablet crushing or cutting it up will cause it to be absorbed more rapidly instead of over a period of time 20mg is a low-medium does and will be safe for just about any one who is not sensative or allergic to the drug how ever higher strength oxy like the 80mg and 160mg are VERY dangerous for someone will little or no tolorence to snort

YES! It is very dangerous, not all fillers in these tablets are meant to be absorbed by your body, some are expelled and you are putting them right into your lungs. Not to mention the possibility of overdosing!
example freinds husband had a chest infection Dr., wrote keflex a antibotic, he took all the medicine the right way number 30 killed him, it took that long for the body to build the intolerance level up, he was allergic to keflex but his body held the halflife effects in body fat an this is what killed him.
snorting any opiate can cause devastating effects anytime
I have been prescribed Oxycontin for sevedre chronic pain resulting from a spinal cord tumor. I taking 3 - 40mg tablets per day. I also snort some and have snorted as much as 120mg at a time. But, this came after building up a tolerance and snorting 20 mg, then 40 etc. I don't feel that I am an addict, as I still regularily go 2-3 weeks between snorting them and then always start at a lower dose as the tolerance does wear off. So, overall, there are dangers, like any drug, but they can be minimized.
