Many, but the most common are: being less sexually active, restlessness, tiredness (especially when you first start taking it), headaches, and possible mood swings (especially if the drug isn't right for you). As being a Zoloft user myself, I can say I've only experienced sexual side effects (and I'm only 24!) and the headaches, but the headaches were from when I stopped taking it on a regular basis. Oh, and it comes packed w/ some pretty bad withdrawls if not weaned from it properly.

Hello there Sara. I did not like Zoloft at all. I felt like a zombie. My reactions were extremely slow. I was shakey and felt clamy all over..Not very talkative. I felt like I was trapped inside my own body for a FULL 24 hours. Mind you .. I only took this 1 time and I felt all these things. But if It does work for you . I wish you the best.

Michelle, that pil is nothing more than a 200mg Ibuprofen tablet, a generic or store brand for Advil.

I have also had wonderful results from Zoloft and others did not work for me at all. Here is a link to the monograph with side effect information: http://www.prescriptiondrug-info.com/prescription_drug_info.asp?Drug=Zoloft&Page=1001801

I have tried effexor, paxil, and zoloft. As far as zoloft, sometimes I feel like I am just dead!! Like I cannot think n I just sit in one spot for hours. The biggest problems I have had so far the increased appetite, it causes which in turn has caused me to gain wait, and hair loss/thinning which is very tramatic when u are a young man like myself! Everybody in my family, even my grandfather now, has thick, full bodied hair and I have been losing my hair since I began zoloft. I hate it!!

I was put on Zoloft for post partum depression 13 years ago. It took me 5 years and pain medication that knocked me out (torn ACL) to get through the withdrawls. The vertigo was unbearable, even when tapering off. I recently lost my job then my house and talked myself into going back on it. Now I am struggling again with the vertigo-3 weeks worth of it so far. I do not discourage the use of antidepressants. I work in the mental health field and it can basically save your life and give you a mental kick in the butt upwards. However be careful when you stop taking it, tapering off is a must but also educate yourself on the withdrawl symptoms. They say it is not habit forming but tell your brain that. Just thought I would share that. God Bless.

ALMOST FORGOT--Also watch your liver enzymes with this drug especially if you take tylenol and/or ibuprophin regularly. + a couple of drinks a week really do not mesh well with this med as far as your liver is concerned. FYI
