It is the calcium salt of citric acid and malic acid with variable composition. Usage of Calcium Citrate Malate is primarily for prevention or treatment of low blood calcium levels in people who do not get enough calcium from their diets. It may be used to treat conditions like osteoporosis. For treatment of osteoporosis, the Calcium Citrate Malate is preferably administered for at least three to six months.
