1	Terry Thomas Says: Report Abuse Friday, 3/13/2009 4:43:49 PM I have been on Oxycodone 5mg tablets for 2 years up to 8 per day and in January the two largest producing plants of the 5mg tablets were shut down by the FDA and now the va is substituting the hcl 20mg ,sa tablets for my 5mg tablets am I going to notice the difference and if so how.My medical condition that I take these pills for are that I have 4 ruptured disc in my lower back and I need both knees replaced.I would appreciate any answers to my question.
2	Verwon Says: [Moderator] Sunday, 3/15/2009 6:30:25 PM Sa simply stands for a different manufacturer, those ones are made by Sandoz. You shouldn't notice a huge difference, same medication, just made by a different company. Have you tried them yet?

4	Johnb Says: Report Abuse Tuesday, 6/2/2009 3:31:25 PM I have a pinched spine in my neck. Had one failed operation. Pain in arms, shoulder, thumbs neck and now into my legs and toes. I have tried many narcotics. Morphine 30mg time release 3 times a day with oxycodone fast acting 5mg, 2 tablets as neaded every few hours for break through pain. Recently switched to the 20mg time release oxycodone 3 times a day and still doing the fast acting as needed. I use the VA clinic and am aware of shortages of the fast acting 5mg pills. Less drowsy with the time released oxycodone than the TR morphine. You should always have the 5mg fast acting pills for breakthrough pain. For me, 2 or three of them could be the difference between being in the ER or at home. Having to live on these drugs really sucks. They never get me high and never really take away all of the pain. They have destroyed my bowel movements which means that I have to take 4 meds to take a crap. The VA in my area is very slow. Try being a single parent with these issues. It is hell on earth much of the time. God help us all.

I get a letter from my P.C. doctor telling me I need to get a new doctor why I don't know. I have degenative and deterating bones loss and pain always. I have nothing in between the L4/L5 and my right ft. hurts like hell!!! I have COPD, Hyperthroism disease, A autoimmune diease, growths in my vocals cords, had a total hysterectomy in 2006 nothing has been the same since.I am 54 yrs. old and now I find out my doctor has distroyed my medical records also? I need a doctor I live in Massachusetts have healthcare coverage,I babysit 2 babies ages 21 months & 8 months old. I can barely move without my meicines the pain never NEVER goes away. Can anyone help me I think my P.C. was a BAD DOCTOR!!! How can I get some doctor to talk to me if I have had my records distroyed. I do have reports stating he was my dr. from 2006 to now. I di have the pharmarcy and copies of my checks, also the write up about the meds. I also take 180 mg. HLC Verapamilwith a calium blocker and a high chorestrol med. I was on meliocam 15 mg. but my urine was and still is rusty colored and smells like rust or old blood.CAN SOME! PLEASE HELP ME NOW!!!! I can't survive the pain I am also on Valium 10 mg. 2 x a day for aniexty. he wanted to give me Plaxil but I was scared I also have Epilespy but it's at rest i had my last seizure age 17 about 38 yrs ago. Haven't been tested for that in over 20 years either. I know the Valiums help me with that!!I am not overweight and just would like a chance to get my tired old body to STOP HURTING!!! my doctorb never listened either .So PLEASE SOME! HELP ME OR GUIDE ME.. Thank you God Bless
