Lorazepam is a generic for Ativan, this is a potent Benzodiazepine, it is used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. (I'm going to post about all these meds individually to avoid confusion, but please note that in the eldery, drugs can react more potently and cause more pronounced side effects!) Side effects for this may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and confusion. Common side effects for it may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. So, the side effects for this one can also include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. We are not medical professionals, so I can't really say, but if this was my mother, I'd be asking her doctor some serious and hard questions regarding the necessity of all 3 of these at once. Have you spoken to the doc, yet?
