My 9 year old Rottwieller KJ has been diagnosed with bone cancer We have opted not to go with leg amputation and to try pain management She was diagnosed 1 month ago and is not showing any signs of discomfort yet My vet prescribed Carprofen 75 mg twice a day and 400 mg of Gabapentin 3 times a day Im giving her the Carprofen as prescribed but feel like 1200 mg of Gabapentin is too much Im just giving her 400 mg at night I asked my vet and she didnt seem to know what the dosage should be Any information would be most welcome Thanks Lorraine
My 112lb lab is on gabapentin. My vet says to give him 2 pills 2-3 times daily as needed (300mg ea.).
Hope that helps.

I'm sorry, we have no veterinarians on the site, so no way to advise you on how much is appropriate for a canine. This is usually decided according to their size and weight.
Generally, I would advise sticking with what your vet recommends and seeing how it works for your animal, then you can always make adjustments as needed.
