We are not medical professionals, so we cannot possibly suggest what treatment would be best for his condition. When prescribing medications, the doctor must take many factors into account, including any other medical conditions, their severity and all medications he may be taking.
Have you spoken to his doctor about your concerns?
Gabapentin is an anticonvulstant medication that has also been proven effective at treating certain types of nerve pain.
Common side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Methylcobalamin is a vitamin B12 supplement, often given to treat various types of neuropathy, since these conditions can be aggravated by a lack of this vital nutrient.
