Gena Sessions Says:
I was taking Adderol for ADD, but it wasn't helping that much. My psychiatrist started me on Phendimerazine Tartrate 35 mg. This helps my ADD, my extremely low energy level ,and periodic despressions. I never take more than 3 in a day, often 2 and sometimes none . I have never taken more than 4 in a day or more than 2 at a time (in the mornings,) and can always get together the energy to exercise, which often I can't without taking this medication. I have to go off it occasionally in order for it to keep working. It doesn't make me nervous or restless, just more focused and with more energy. I have macular degeneration and am at high rist for wet macular degeneration. My opthamologist isn't familiar with this drug . All I'm really worried about is if it will hurt my eyesight in the long-term.i As I get older my eyesight isn't as good as it was, but that's how age goes. I just don't want to go blind because of a medication, but my quality of life is so much better when I use it, I hate to give it up and have to go back to the others problems mentioned. I would welcome any information. Thanks ,Gena
Supplementing with specific nutrients can help significantly reduce the chances of dry macular degeneration going to wet, see both the 2001 AREDS study (confirmed the value of supplementing with Vitamins C and E, beta-carotene,selenium, zinc, copper) and current AREDS2 study which also confirmed lutein, zeaxanthin and omega-3 fatty acid supplementation as being essentila.
You should find an opthalmologist who can make an assessment about this drug and the impacts on your macular degeneration. You may also want to contact someone who may know. Visit the sites such as http://www.amdsupport.ca or http://www.mdsupport.org.
