nearing 50, and seem to be getting a few senior moments more often, I wont to start taking neurostin and want to know if it really works and is it worth the cost??
please dont. i am 26 and have taken it for 1.5yrs in the last 2 weeks of reducing this i have experienced such extreme anxiety, memory and cognition problems, i hope it gets better.
@ Donna... I had been taking other meds for pain from carpal tunnel, sciatica and ankle problems. The Dr. finally prescribed Neurontin and I discontinued use of the other meds. It worked instantly and has been a life saver. I take it 1x/day 300mg at night. It has been great for my pain. If you google it, you can find lots of customer reviews and positive might I add. I am the same way. I was really apprehensive because I didn't like the name of it. LOVE IT!!!!!
NeuroNtin is not NeuroStin...totally different things... After tapering off of Paxil, I experienced severe memory and focus problems. I also became socially isolated...I have been trying to find a natural supplment to help me feel normal like I did before Paxil (except for the anxiety which is why i went on it in the first place and which is now completely gone)....I am on my third and last bottle of Neurostin, and will be switching back to my Choline/Gingko mixture that worked much better for my memory and focus. So in my opinion, it is NOT worth all that money!! But each person has different reasons for their memory/focus problems....i think mine is related to those horrible long lasting effects of SSRIs, but maybe it works great for memory loss due to aging.
