Can You Take Propoxyphene While On Methadone Thank

In addition, they are both narcotics, but Propoxyphene (Darvocet) is very mild and is not going to do anything for you if you are already taking Methadone, which is much, much stronger.

4	Rgjj79 Says: Report Abuse Wednesday, 8/5/2009 9:01:06 AM Methadone will NOT show up positive on an opiate drug screen. It has to be specifically tested for. Either a MTD or EPPC panel on a urine screen. I know from personal experience. I get tested 2-3 times a week and methadone has never shown up for opiates. Propoxyphene, however, did produce a positive test for opiates.
5	Ryanh Says: Report Abuse Tuesday, 12/22/2009 6:56:01 AM First of all neither one of these drugs will show up as an opiate I hate when people that have no idea what there talking about just spout off crap. And if you miss your methadone dose and its low Propoxyphene can advert the withdrawl.
