I think you could mean the imprint 'Andrx 720' - If so then that is 20 meq Potassium Chloride Extended Release Tablets. Any question about the appearance, see This Picture.
Thanks Stacey, that's it. We had a prescription and this one got out of the bottle. Most important to keep your meds in the original container until they are all gone.
I don't know the full answer, per say, but by definition 'Equivalents (Eq) and milliequivalents (mEq) measure a substances ability to combine with another substance'.
So my guess is that the dosages of OTC versions of potassium are basically stated as exactly what their weight is. But with the prescribed version, I would think the 20 meq dosage would indicate that it is a more arbitrary number for how much potassium would absorb into the bloodstream. Anyone else out there know? Hope my answer makes some sense at least ;)
