Kimberly Says:
I was on methadone for 7 years,I was addicted to pain pills,I took 80 a day It started out just two at a time and got up to 12 at a time, everyone told me I would get addicted but I thought not me ,well I did,I had too take 10 just to get out of bed,it sucked,I wanted too go to rehab more than you know, but was not covered,so couldn't unless I commited a crime,so only thing to do was methadone,no place where I lived so I drived a four hour trip everyday, back and forth to get it,I thought at the time it saved my life but it was another addiction to another, people told me the withdrawls were the worst so of course I didn't want to quit,I moved so were I didn't have to drive so far, then my hole life revolved aroumd it had to plan everything around it,after 7 years I had enough I quit cold turkey, doctors told me not to I could die,but I did,the pill withdrawl was worse,I say if you need it do it,but try to get off fast because it is hard just like any addiction, and the goverment is making a killing on it.thay raise your dose so it's harder to get off.
