Wendell Maddox Says:
MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ZOCAR-40 MG, AND ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS IT MUST BE TAKEN AT NIGHT BEFORE BED-TIME. DOES ANY-ONE KNOW WHY IT MUST BE TAKEN BEFORE BED-TIME. ALSO WHAT ARE THE KNOWN SIDE EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE??? THANKS, WENDELL
This is a cholesterol med. It is to be taken at night to help bring your cholesterol down, this is when you are relaxed the most. side effects liver, leg cramps, make you tired.
Cholesterol is made at night. That is why your physician wants you to take it at night. Be careful with this medication. I had chronic pain from diabetic neuropathy and began taking it. Took for about six months and noted almost intolerable pain, well beyond what I experienced with neuropathy. I got to the point I could barely walk. I kept complaining about the pain,,,,,,,,my blood sugars were under control and my doc said I should no longer be having pain. Little did I know that the major complication from Zocor is severe large muscle pain which I learned doing my own research looking for answers to the pain.....this can eventually lead to kidney failure. Just watch for the side-effects.
