I have been on Lipitor for about a year and am experiencing muscle tenderness in legs and arms - once reading other side effects, I do have other symptoms - anyway - I want to stop ---- do I have to wean myself off the drug - I want to try diet and natural remedies before needing to do drugs - doc really did not give me a choice - 247 was total but good was very high -
I stopped my Lipitor on Jan 13 08 because I saw it causes Joint pains and Tendenitis and Having Fibromyalgia I stopped taking it. I did this at the same time I quit my Lyrica! After getting OFF of BOTH of them I feel 100Percent Better.

Yes, but after being on it for so long, your body has become dependent on the drug and if you stop abruptly, you will experience some withdrawal symptoms as your body has to readjust to not having that substance.
