EXCEPT for EFFEXOR my mother has been on the same she has lost all of her teeth& has gained almost 100lbs! I have 13 teeth left& have gained 130ibs! I'M SCARED 2 DEATH! BE AWARE THIS CAN HAPPEN 2 YOU!! They r tak'n me off all meds except EFFEXOR for panick attacks! WHAT WILL THIS MED DO 2 ME N THE YEARS 2 COME?? ANY ADVICE??
There is absolutely no evidence that Effexor can cause damage to one's teeth. Unfortunately, bad teeth are usually hereditary. Everyone in my family has beautiful teeth, and my mother is already 94yrs. old with all of her teeth still. She has been on hundreds of medications like many other folks in my family that have depression. She has no teeth decay problem and neither do any of my siblings who took the same drugs. What makes you think medications made your mother lose all of her teeth, and made you lose most of yours? There are certain antibiotics such as Genomycin that if given at birth, and or in a young child, can cause premature tooth decay, and some medications like lithium and tegretol that can do the same. Were you ever on any of those medications?
nenene,First of all I'm not talking about EFFEXOR! This is about SEROQUEL!!! NO family history of bad teeth,no antibiotics at birth! Never taken LITHIUM or TEGRETOL! But there is evidence that EFFEXOR can make you incompatent! LOOK OUT FOR THE EVIDENCE!
