The internet shouldn't say it is morphine since morphine does not come in 20mg. It comes in doses such as 15mg, 30mg, etc. You have a generic form of Oxycontin 20mg. It is oxycodone 20mg. It is the same time released drug as the name brand oxycontin. It is a schedule 2 narcotic that is very addictive. It is used for moderate to severe pain. Side effects include nausea, euphoria, constipation, blurred vision, headaches, among others.
Hey bill. The pill you have, you is light pink with a 20 on one side and ABG on the other. I don't know where the internet got their info from. The pill you have is a 20mg Oxycontin. I know because I get the same exact prescription. ABG is the manufacturer. There is 3 different kinds you can get. The one you have with a 20 and ABG which you saved alot of money, or the name brand which looks the exact same except instead of ABG it has OC on it (for 120 of them is about $650.00) then there is one that is a little bigger and looks like a football and has a 91 or 93 on one side and a 32 I think on the other, but they dont seem to work as good. The manfctr. for those is Treavu and they made those for people that snort them or shoot them up because whenever you add water to them or snort them they turn into gel. But whatever solution they use to make it gel I think deactivates the actual painkiller(oxycodone) because they dont seem to work as good.

Chad is correct, ABG 20 is NOT morphine, as was stated above, Morphine DOES NOT come in a 20mg tablet dose.
So if the pharmacy gave these to you as Morphine, then someone made an error.
I can be certain of this, not just by looking it up in the professional databases I use to help people on this board get correct information, but because I also take Morphine every month made by this same manufacturer and know that there is no 20mg Morphine CR. There is an ABG 15 that is Morphine and and ABG 30 that is also Morphine. However, the ABG 20 is definitely Oxycodone CR.
As to why they don't work as well when you try to crush them, yes, that is what they are intended to do. The gel contains a substance that neutralized the narcotic when you do that, to try to prevent exactly this type of abuse.
