Alright, so I decided to get on birth control four months ago, mainly because I was tired of constantly having acne (which I treat daily, and it has cleared up significantly, but I was hoping BC would help rid me of it totally), plus I was having crazy mood swings. The first day after I took my first pill I was ill for a long time, feeling like I was about to throw up at any second; for the first two months I had a headache almost every day, was excessively tired, and would randomly feel like I was about to throw up. After I got past the second month though (and I had been forewarned by friends & the doctor that it usually takes three months to get used to the pills), I was fine - I have seen my boobs increase a whole cup size - not unwanted but not greatly appreciated either lol, considering they are often swollen and are sore. But I can deal with that. I have seen no weight gain, but I began to work out again right before I started the pills so I could lose some weight I had gained. Alas, it doesn't seem to have helped my acne much yet, though I'm still holding out hope. I Have not missed a period since I started, nor a pill, so I haven't experienced breaththrough bleeding or anything like that.
I must say that if you experience the same symptoms I did when I first started them, you just have to be strong and weather through it. I almost quit them multiple times, but once your both has become used to them, then everything will be fine. I'm on my fourth pack now, and my last period was amazingly short and painless since my body is now into the pattern. All in all, I give Loestrin 24 a thumbs up!
