I need help finding a doctor in Michigan to prescribe me methadone for my addiction right now i am buying it off the streets and it is so hard and expensive not to mention they are so hard to get they are around maybe once a month... but i cant go to a clinic everyday does anyone know of a dr that would prescribe by month or week????

It sounds like you've been taking Methadone for some time now. Perhaps it's time you just stopped taking drugs?? Methadone doesn't need to be taken for a month to cure you of your addiction. My feelings are that you are now addicted to Methadone. That's probably why you have to buy it on the street. No doctor is going to pander to that. Get off the opiates - go through the withdrawals and get on with your life. (I did this myself before).

It definitely sounds like you have a problem. An option you might wish to explore, which has helped many people beat their dependence on opiates, is Suboxone.

It is an opiate that contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, where most people who use Methadone end up on a lifetime maintenance dose, essentially always addicted, Suboxone has helped many people become completely drug free.

I'd like to know an answer to that also. You had 2 responses but no one answered the question. It's too expensive to be in a clinic and pay everyweek.
