I was so sick from taking the suboxon I thought I was going to die!!! Should I wait 2 days. then take the suboxon? (Which I took twice and am scared to death of) I want off of methadose! I can't affort to buy one more pill!!! Will the suboxon work, and if one makes me feel all screwed up (VERY VERY SICK) should I take a second suboxon and when. PLEASE...someone who knows and had got off methadone with subozon answer me! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!
Because of the long halflife of methadone I would wait atleast 4 days and drink plenty of water during that time before taking any suboxene. What happened to you is called Precipatated withdrawl. My dad had the same thing happen. Wait atleast 4 days and yes those will be 4 awful days but take L-tyrosine and plenty of hot baths and if you can get your hands on it take between 10 to 20 mg of valium or 2 to 4 mg of xanex during that time. and imodium for any diarrhea problems. After those 4 days maybe even 5 stop the valium use because of the problems possibly associated by mixing barbs or benzos and suboxene. I have had a long addiction to methadone and oxycontin and i used suboxene to detox and then a 30 day rehab program I suggest going to a place called the palm beach institute in west palm beach florida. They accept most insurances and are wonderful people who have helped me save my life. I am only 24 and I was addicted for 6 years until i went there. The doctors there detoxed me using subutex but I have tryed the outpatient suboxene thing like 5 times before that. Trust me only use suboxene for a max of 3 weeks and ween down properly under the direction of a suboxene certified doctor. Dont forget the importance of therapy and hopefully group meetings. Good luck to you its a terrible disease that we addicts have but we can control it. I will pray for you and I wish you all the luck in the world and I hope that was helpful
