My friend has these pills and he has given them to me to help them study for finals. I have taken them a few times and have noticed they have similar effects to adderall. For the first 3-4 hours I have noticed basically the same feeling and mental focus that can be seen after taken adderall. However, this drug doesn't seem to be time-released like many adderall types. Personally, it usually only works well for the first 3-5 hours and then fades.
Adderall is usually prescribed in the form of Adderall XR or extended release. Half of the dose is designed to dissolve immediately lasting for 4 hours, and the second half is absorbed 4 hours later. He has probably given you the generic form of Adderall commonly seen as Amphetamine Salts BRR. It is in essense the same thing except it dissolves all at once and is much cheaper for someone who doesn't have health or prescription insurance. I've taken both before, and it seems that Adderall XR at least for me, works much better for mental focus, energy, euphoria, etc. I started out at 20mg Adderall XR instead of working my way into a higher dose; the side-effects were insomnia, completely loss of appetite and eventual weight loss. However, the benefits as far as i'm concerned highly outweighed the undesirable negatives. RIght now i'm on 10mg. Adderall BRR twice daily. This is a Schedule II controlled substance and should be used with care.
Just started taking the Amphetamine. I was curious if anyone feels like the effect from the pill comes in waves. Like just when you think its worn off you fill a little boost.
I have just recently started taking Amphetimine Salts Combo 20mg. I take one at 8 in the morning and then i have to take another at about 2 in the afternoon. It really helps me focus of things i need to do. Seems to unscramble all my thoughts and lets me think clearly. Also, after about an hour of taking the meds, i seem to get a huge burst of energy!! I feel like i just drank a few red bulls. last for a a few hours. Sometimes feels like my heart is beating faster, but not really sure. Has any one else experienced these side affects.
i have been taking this med for about a week and like some of the other comments it really makes you focus and helps me get things done....but, when it starts to wear off it makes me fill completely horrible shakey,tired, stomach aches, hard to use restroom, and like i have fever also it doesn't let me sleep even hours after i've taken it can anyone relate?? or have suggestions???
I've had some weird side effects to The Salt Combo 20mg. I used to take Aderall 20mg but for some reason without even asking me they switched to the generic brand or something. And all of a sudden I can't even hold me hands out straight without them shaking.
Amphetamine com tab is the generic form of adderall, except that is is not time released. I am proscribed it for my ADHD and i heard that straight from the doctors mouth today
YEAH, MY DOC WRITES OUT 4 MONTHS OF PRESCRIPTIONS EACH VISIT-SAVES ALOT OF HASSLE. I AM GETTING OFF F THIS DRUG AFTER GRAD SCHOOL. I FEAR FOR MY HEART GOING OUT ON ME ONCE I REACH MY THIRTIES, I WOULD SAY WE WILL KNOW THE LONG TERM EFFECTS ON KIDS USING THESE DRUGS FROM AN EARLY AGE IN THE NEXT TEN YEARS OR SO, KIDS SHOULD NOT TAKE THESE DRUGS, 99% OF MY FRIENDS WHO HAVE CURRENT DRUG PROBLEMS TODAY, TOOK RITALIN AT AN EARLY AGE. GET KIDS ON HIGH OCTANE BREAKFAST, IT IS WHAT THEY REALLY NEED, HELL ALL OF US. I MEAN, A HAPPY HYPER CHILD DOES NOT HAVE ANY DISEASE, HE IS A BLOODY CHILD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. GOOD DAY GOODNIGHT.
D-Amphetamine salt is identical to Adderall it is just the generic version. the one this thread is about is simply not time released. I used to get prescribed adderall but had my doc switch me to the generic to save money on copays. you can even get the generic time released
I have used both the time released adderal and the generic amphetamine over the last four years. with the XR adderal, the side effects were much worse, and i couldnt take it after about 9 in the morning, otherwise i would be unable to sleep at night. i have found that the amphetamine salt combo is much easier to work with, has fewer side effects, and lets me manage my dose depending on what is happening today (ex. sleeping in!). also, i have noticed that if i take adderal for an extended period of time (1-2months straight), i develop symptoms of paranoia. Not sure if that is supposed to happen.
