Does brand name 10mg Adderall have a new design? Picked up my Rx yesterday and pill is blue. One side is scored and says 10. The other side, rather than saying AD, has a symbol which looks sort of like a figure 8, or perhaps a letter S with a line through it. Pharmacy says these are brand name Adderall. Anyone else see these yet?
Brand name Adderall, at least the IR version, has a new formulation! (This was confirmed to me by an individual at Barr Pharmaceuticals - manufacturer of brand name (& generic) Adderall. And IMO the new formulation is nowhere nearly as effective as was the old formulation. I'm pretty sure that as this new formulation of brand name Adderalll makes its way into the pharmacies, there will be plenty of news about it and plenty of folks very unhappy about it.
Found the same to be true with a different dosage. Told pharmacist I thought they gave me the wrong medication. The back was not identified with AD, instead it looked like an S with a line drawn through it or $ sign. It tasted like a sugar bill and was not effective. Searching web to see if this was counterfeit medication
It's NOT counterfeit medication - it's the new formulation of brand name Adderall. I have this info not only from my CVS pharmacy, but directly from the manufacturer. It's a new world for us as far as Adderall IR goes, because the medicine we know is gone.
From what I've read it's not a new formulation of the brand name pill. It's simply a different division of the same company manufacturing the pill. It went from barr division of teva pharm to the duramed division. The new imprint is a lowercase d on top of a lowercase p. It stands for Duramed Pharmaceuticals

Jc is correct, there is no change in the active ingredient, it's just made by a different company and according the US FDA regulations, it must have a different imprint.
Adderall contains mixed Amphetamine salts and is used to treat ADHD and Narcolepsy.
Common side effects may include: nausea, insomnia, anorexia and irritability.
Very interesting because I can feel a big difference with a new imprint on the back. It's not as easy for me to fall asleep the way I used to. When did they change the imprint??
