My son was put on the clonidine a year ago and while it does help mellow him out and get him to go to sleep he still does not sleep all night by himself. Also, just found out from the new dr. that he saw today that it can cause urinary problems, which my son is experiencing now (he feels like he has to go all the time).

My son was prescribed Clonidine 1/4 of 0.01 mg three times a day. I was wondering the same question, did I make the right decision to place him on a highblood pressure medication? He have great response with the medication. But, I wonder if this drug will stunt his stimulation in later years. I know for a fact it does in grown men. Can someone help answer these questions?
