Recent Posts About drug interaction at The People's Medicine Community. I have just started taking Avapro and Lexapro. I am sleepy all the time, even after a ful nights rest.
Could this be a side affect of either/or the drugs, or perhaps taking them together?

Hello,
Lexapro deplete your body in Vitamin B2, B6, B12, C, D, Folic acid Selenium, zinc, L glutathione
Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Copper and Phosphorus.
Avapro deplete your body in Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium and CoQ10
My advice is to supplement these minerals and vitamins to avoid major health problems.
It is sad that labs don't tell that to the doctors.
Lexapro contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, it is an SSRI antidepressant.

Common side effects for it can include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache.

You can read more here:

http://www.prescriptiondrug-info.com/drug_details.asp?title=Lexapro&page=1005987&ad=true

That said, yes, since they CAN both cause drowsiness, it is possible that taking the two together can aggravate this side effect and make it more pronounced. Have you spoken to your doctor about it?
