That is why your physician wants you to take it at night. Be careful with this medication. I had chronic pain from diabetic neuropathy and began taking it. Took for about six months and noted almost intolerable pain, well beyond what I experienced with neuropathy. I got to the point I could barely walk. I kept complaining about the pain,,,,,,,,my blood sugars were under control and my doc said I should no longer be having pain.
