It's normal for Neurontin to cause a foggy feeling in your head until your system has built it up. After about a week, the foggy feeling WILL go away! My advice is to take an energy shot or drink some energy drink to get rid of the fog. It's a common complaint and the energy helps alot!

Neurontin contains the active ingredient Gabapenting, this is an antiseizure medication that has also been shown to be effective for certain types of nerve pain.

It is not a muscle relaxant and does not successfully help everyone that takes it.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and peripheral edema.

You can read more here:

http://www.prescriptiondrug-info.com/drug_details.asp?title=Neurontin&page=1000853&ad=true

Do you have any other questions?

@ Anna-banana.... I too have been on flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for a few years for muscle spasms due to sciatica and recently was told to discontinue use of thr flexeril because they cannot be taken together. They put me on Neurontin. It worked instantly and I have carpul tunnel, sciatica and ankle issues. Works like a charm for pain. Must be some kind of miracle drug.
