Can I Cutr Chantix Pills In Half? Tuesday, 3/9/2010 1:33:11 PM in Chantix I used chantix to quit smokong for several months, then slipped up and started again. I would like to use the remaining pills to help me stop again. These are the Blue full strength pills and I was wondering if i can cut them in half to use a the starting dosage? Fentanyl Tuesday, 3/9/2010 1:01:07 PM in Fentanyl I have been weaning myself off Methadone! I was taking 10mgs 3 times a day. I am now down to less than one tablet a day and will continue until I can say goodby Methadone and I never want to see you again. Now to my real problem. Last week my doctor gave me the Fentanyl 25 MCG/HR Patch MYL. I need something to help with the pain I still have although the Lyrica and Cymbalta have really helped. I did not when she gave the Fentanyl Patch to me that I would have to taper off and that it carried baggage of bad side affects. I have read the messages here and have decided not to use the Fentanyl. Thanks to everyone! 1 Reply
Anyone Else Trying Savella For Fibromyalgia? Tuesday, 3/9/2010 11:45:06 AM in Savella This is a new medication that just came out for fibromyalgia. I have several other conditions involving spinal degeneration , herniated discs, arthritus, etc. I've been taking this medication for a little over 2 weeks now and have worked up to the full dose. My biggest symptom seems to be upset stomach but I don't know if it's from the Savella or from de-toxing from 7 other medications that I've been on for over 10+ yrs. Is there anyone else out there that has started this medication that can give me any information that they may have on it? 216 Replies

Suboxone And Urine Test Tuesday, 3/9/2010 6:16:09 AM in Suboxone I know Suboxone does not show up in a standard urine test. But the job I am applying for may do an extended test. Weight Gain On Pristiq?? Monday, 3/8/2010 7:23:57 PM in Pristiq I have been on Pristiq now since November of 2008...not quite 5 months...and I have put on 15 lbs since starting it. DESPITE working out with a trainer at the gym twice a week weight training, 3 days a week of cardio AND counting calories. My doc assured me that I would also have a decreased appetite on Pristiq, which I have yet to find true...so he has now increased my dosage to 400 mg. Does anyone have anything to add to this?? Fentanyl Withdrawal Symptoms Monday, 3/8/2010 7:14:18 PM in Fentanyl I'm trying to wean myself off the Fentanyl patch. I went from 75 micro-gms to 50 now I'm on 25. Having a problem and not sure it is related to the decrease in the med. It's been 20 days on the 25 micro-gm and I'm going crazy. How Bad Will My Withdrawal Be? Monday, 3/8/2010 6:09:06 PM in Suboxone Hi...this is my first time posting here. I've recently been taking 6-9 30mg roxicets a day for about 8-9 months. My habit started off slowly like all do,I started taking a half a day and slowly increased as time went on due to my tolerance build up.12 days ago i stopped and went to suboxone and i,ve been taking 8mgs a day for the past 12 days...4mgs in the morning and 4mgs at night. I'm ready to quit everything because I've been on subs before and I know how bad the withdrawal is from being on them long term.My question is how bad should my w/d be from only 12 days of usage...last time i was on subs for little over a year for a bad oxy habit and the w/d were an absolute nightmare:insomnia for a week extreme anxiety and crazy restless leg syndrome not to mention the unbearable constant headaches. I'm really scared and totally disappointed in myself...I should have never put myself in this situation again after being almost 2 years clean. I'm luckily taking my vacation from work this thurs 4th- weds 10th, will this be enough time to recuperate and how bad w/d should i expect if i quit cold turkey 2nite? 1 Reply
Second Day On Suboxone Monday, 3/8/2010 5:19:57 PM in Suboxone I think I'm one of the very few that is hypersensitive to the other ingriendent in suboxone (not the opiate)naloxine or however you spell it. Sickness Monday, 3/8/2010 1:46:22 PM in Loestrin 24 Fe i am 15 years old and i am on birth control because my period is very heavy. i have been on it before for the same reason and i never had any problems with not feeling well or the usual symptoms. but i started Aranelle 21 days ago and 2 days ago was the last pill to make me not get me period. yesterday i was very sick in the morning and i threw up and today i don't feel good. is that because of my period. i am not taking the pills that you take during your period. does that make any difference? Dilaudid Lethal Dosage? Monday, 3/8/2010 12:41:03 AM in Dilaudid I am a stage IV cancer patient and member of an invitational research and survey type website. Members primarily consist of other stage IV cancer patients, but in some cases, may be the caregiver of a stage IV patient. A little over a month ago, a caregiver launched a blog-like diary of sorts. He states his wife has end-stage, metastasized, breast cancer. His postings started with news his wife had to be hospitalized when she began the dying process and indicating shut-down. However, many of his statements do not sound clinically correct or even possible. For example, after she was admitted to the hospice section of the hospital, he stated she emerged from days of a coma-like state to experience what he called a rally. This rally consisted of engaging in conversation with himself and hospital staff...only to sink into another coma-like state after being administered IV anti-biotics for a major infection due to compromised immune system (an extremely low, chemo-caused low white blood count). During this time, he also stated that both kidneys shut down...then...a week later, miraculously regained normal function. In still another posting, he describes she emerged from yet another coma-like state to devour a huge meal, although she had and was still on a PEG feeding tube!!! (All patients I know had to slowly acclimate over a period of several days to oral feeding with jello, puddings, non-spicy soups, etc.) He now states he has moved his wife back home where she can die in the comfort of familiar surroundings. Now at home, he described another coma-like experience, followed by yet another rally of low-level activity as if she had no health issues at all. Today, (July 23) his posting states she was in great pain the night before and her doctor increased her Dilaudid pain medication to 7mg/hour. If you had read between the lines of every post since this person started about 6-weeks ago, you'd quickly get the idea this person has the capacity to cause a faster than normal passing of his wife. For what reason?...so he can start re-establishing his social life! More than one prior comment had this type “social life” focus, though subtle. Far more troublesome are comments I feel would cause any perceptive person to wonder if he is capable of engaging in deliberate acts to cause his wife to expire sooner than later. In hopes a professional monitors this board, I have a quick question: Under her circumstances, does 7MG/hr of Dilaudid seem appropriate and correct...or...is does it sound more like an accumulative, lethal dose? I apologize for the length of this post, but am somewhat bothered by what may be the abuse (or worse) of a person that cannot defend themselves. Thanking you in advance, Nodawgs 7 Replies

A few years ago it went off the market and returning 4 years later under a different manuf. We have just been notified that it will once again become unavailable (Sept 2009). Slept For Almost 2 Days Sunday, 3/7/2010 4:36:55 AM in Amitriptyline I was prescribed amitriptyline for my back pain. I took one 4mg on Tues night at 9pm. I slept most of the 22nd. Maybe awake 3 hours out of that day, but was very confused! I woke up at noon on the 23rd. Is this drug too strong for me or is this normal? Could it be the combination of the two medications amitriptyline and tizanidine? I feel gittery, heart racing, confused and very tired! Oxycodone 5mg/5ml Saturday, 3/6/2010 10:46:31 PM in Oxycodone I got a prescription for oxycodone 5mg/5ml solution 1800ml total I am confused on how much is actually in the bottle . I understand that 5ml is equal to one percocet 5mg pill but on the bottle on the side of it it only goes up 300ml so if it has a quantity of 1800ml of formula in it how much is actually in a ml, mabye I am confused any info is greatly appreciated I have talk ed to the pharmacy but I am still confused.
