It Is Obtained From Plants Of The Family Solanaceae (nightshades), Such As Henbane, Jimson Weed (datura Species), And Corkwood (duboisia Species [2]). It Is Among The Secondary Metabolites Of These Plants. The Drug Can Be Highly Toxic Due Its Powerful Anticholinergic Properties And Has Legitimate Medical Applications In Very Minute Doses.
