Namenda To Boost Tolerance Of Narcotics
Has anyone been prescribed Namenda along with their narcotic pain medication? I am trying to study the mode of action but it has been 30 yrs since I had chemisty in school and I failed it 2x before I got a tutor to help me pass it. This is straight out of one of the descriptions I found while trying to learn about it. Indications Memantine is indicated for the treatment of the symptoms of moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease.[6][7] Memantine has been associated with a moderate decrease in clinical deterioration in Alzheimer's disease.[7] A systematic review of randomised controlled trials found that memantine has a small positive effect on cognition, mood, behaviour, and the ability to perform daily activities in moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease, but an unknown effect in mild to moderate disease.[8] Memantine is also being tested for depression, glaucoma, tinnitus, neuropathic pain, and pervasive developmental disorder As far as neuropathic pain, AND THIS IS ONLY MY OPININION, I think it helps delay tolerance in people using narcotic medications and enhances the effectiveness of the drugs thus delaying or preventing nerve pain. Thats how its working on me. I started it last week and I am feeling much better all of a sudden. It is helping my newer pains (arms, ribs, legs) rather than my back pain.
