Citalopram I'V BEEN TAKING CITALOPRAM FOR JUST OVER A WEEK AND I'V GOT THE SHAKES AND MY WALKING HAS GOT SLOWER.ALSO I TEND TO FORGET THINGS ,I AM FEELING WASHED OUT AND TIERED.I'M NOT BOTHERING WITH MY APPEARANCE I CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO EVEN COOK MY SELF A HOT MEAL I'D RATHER LIVE ON CRISPS AND SNACKS.IS THIS NORMAL OR DOES IT GET BETTER WITH TIME Monday, 3/15/2010 5:35:43 PM  1 Reply

Taking Citalopram I have been taking this drug for 7 years or around that. I love it. I was a mess, It has helped me contol my anixaty I started out at 20 mg and now at 40 mg. Because it has made me feel so much better I will not go off of them. I have a very depressive life of ups and downs PTSD. a car accident with head injury and everthing in between. This drug is not suppose to make you gain weight. A lot of times when you are shaky is because your body is telling you eat protein. I am never going off it because it make me feel so much better. Cold Turkey I have only been taking citalopram 2 weeks now. My Dr. had me on 10mg for 1 week and then upgraded me to 20mg for the 2nd week. It makes me more nervous and edgy than my anxiety and situational depression does. I stopped taking it for one day yesterday and felt so much better. Can I stop cold turkey after only 2 weeks? Citalopram And Side Affects? i just stared takinh these 3 days ago, i have noticed they make me tired, shaky, dry mouth,clumsy. somewhat disorented, forgetful, i was told there for anxiety, i was on effexor, and prozac but she pelaced those wth the citalopram hbr 20 mg. are these symptoms normal and will they go away in time???? thank you. Drug Interaction I just started taking the lowest dose of Amitriptyline 1x daily to try to help me sleep. My concern is I've been taking Citalopram 20mg for over 5 years now 1x daily. Changing Meds i lost my mom om august 18th,buried her may 8th,went back to work on may 20th,went to the hosp for anxiety and depression on aug 8th,given lexapro,took it for a month and given citalopram hbr 40mg has anyone changed drugs like this?
