Clonidine And Risperdal My daughter is 7 years old and has been on Focalin 15 mg for almost a year, she has been taking it at 8 am and 2 pm and today the Doctor started a new schedule. She now has to take Focalin at 8 am and two new medications. She has to take Clonidine .1 mg either 1/4 or 1/2 at 4 pm and they said it will make her drowsy. The other medication is Risperdal 1mg but 1/2 a pill at night which also puts her to sleep. She has ADHD and severe Oppositional Difiant Disorder, do you believe that much medication is proper or do you recommend getting a second opinion? She is also having anxiety and depression symptoms do you believe that this mixture of medications could hurt her? Fda Require Periodic Reduction Of Psych Meds In the past three days my 70 year old mother has showed mildly increasing signs of paranoia. 10 Yr Old Taking 2 Mgs Risperdal 2 Xs Daily i am quite worried about a hospital my son is in. He is 10 yrs old and was taken there on bad judjement he made by taking a air gun(unloaded) to school to protect himself from some neighborhood bullies. He has been kept there against our will, because dfs got involved and threatened to take him from us if we did not let him go there to be evaluated. He is still there after 3 weeks and counting, after we have asked them to let him go in his local doctors care. I saw him today, they have him on risperdal 2mg 2 xs daily and depacote 375 mg 2 xs daily. He is severely slurred in his speech and very sleepy and Im very scared what they are doing to him. They are diagnosing him with bi polar disorder, and I truely believe that he is a healthy boy who has been a victim to his environment, picked on by others ect....has trouble focusing in school so they first labeled him adhd and was put on several different medications.....now bi polar? Im scared and worried about what they are trying to say about my son. I would like to take a holistic approach to his treatment instead of pumping him up with drugs. It's obvious he is being overdosed and yet they have left him there without a doctors care all weekend to be medicated on this dosage.
